Slimkinny Tentaculus (evolved from Slimolychos Tentaculus) developed an extremely long digestive tract that allowed it to pass gold through its body without causing it any harm.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The original Autismus adapts simply by absorbing the gold through its skin.
It has however become a it more conspicuous in the process.
Not sure if you're aware, but that isn't the original. That's the one I added more eyes to.

Plumpy is my favorite so far. I would be dismayed to see it go extinct.

Spinowyrmae flopiscus, the Flop-spiked Spineworm.

Some of the Spinowyrmae grow elongated floppy sidespikes. These spikes look like worms, so unsuspecting predators are lured towards the maw of the flop-spined Spineworm.
The Flop worm undergoes a series of mutations. The Teeth are replaced with a set of razor tendrils that shred incoming flesh in preparation for digestion. The same tendrils now passively act to push water upwards into a specialized filter organ which separates the gold in the water. This gold is incorporated homogeneously into the creature's body and skin. While this does little for the creature in way of armor, it makes it much heavier, so that interprizing Autismis have a much harder time carrying the worm for any distance. If any creature wishes to eat a spine worm, they mush now kill and eat it on site. This gives the worm a much better chance to defend itself, and the natural gold content of its body makes it poisonus to any creature without advanced internal filtraation systems.

Some Flop worms undergoe a different mutation however. It starts to build cells to incorporate the gold into their horns as well as skin. The gold is taken into its body by water intake and food intake. This makes the golden spikeworm heavy and dormant so their lifestyle changes. It waits on dead material to fall on the floor closeby, or if an unsuspecting victim begins swimming to close to the elongated nostrils at the mouth of the Spinowyrmae goldormium. It is hard to kill due to its hardened spikes.

This is great. Bay12 surely has great minds to do what they do. Just imagine what would happen if someone started a game of Telephone somewhere. ;D

Terrestrius Floris
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Goldhairbush has evolved from the terrestrius floris. Using the gold particles absorbed from the floor, this bush has incorporated said gold in its leaves to reflect more sunlight onto the photosythezising parts of the leaves. Due to the nature of overlappings of leaves the bush like structure developed as well, to ensure more light gets reflected into the plant. The Goldhairbush is named as such because of the golden hairs erupting from the cup of the flower. Its scientific name is Reflectrius Floris

By the way, the Flop Worms, or whatever the current nickname is, are looking utterly terrifying. Gold, spikes everywhere, razor-filled mouth? People, I believe we have created a forgotten beast. But yeah. Liking this game!

Time is up!
All creatures made after the announcement of the extinction event are alive and mutatable, all those created before it are dead. Rip.

Am on my phone now, will update the tree this afternoon.

Spoiler: Terrestrius Alti (click to show/hide)
These flowers have begun growing higher, due to the small amount of increased rigidity from the gold 'skin'. This is mainly to provide more surface area for sun-gathering, and a greater pollen dispersal. ((Wait, we need !!BEES!!)

Slimolychos Tentaculus

Slimolychos Corralicus had developed as the tentacles began digging into the soil. Over the generations their hind fins have changed
to become a harden shovel, with which they spin-dig into the soil. They feed off of plant material as well as meat.

-snibbity snab-

The Cyclopsowyrm aquavenis, or the Blue-striped Cyclopsworm, has improved it's single eye and moved it to the top of its head to increase its range for vision. It has also evolved a blue pattern on it's soft spikes, to imitate the newly evolved worm species better.
