Woah, a lot of folks sending off men to Sara. Definitely going to be a 'buyer's market' knowwhatimsaying :P

Anyway, seems to me a few people are building money lenders a little too early. get the first marketplace upgrade you can before doing so, you'll start making two gold per freeman.

Anyway, diplomacy. While House Galliene sees the need to discussion over the forests in I3, House Greymane should abandon all claims to it, due to a lack of a bordering territory to it. For it's part, house Galliene lodges a formal claim on the forest, though is willing to provide it's neighbours with trade agreements, and market access to the wood and stone, with metal access being granted to House Khas after House Galliene gets some mines up and running. Furthermore, it offers a a mutual assistance agreement to it's neighbours, with each realm pledging to help the others in times of need (like famine)

House Khas eagerly accepts this mutual assistance agreement. Further details will be discussed in private.

House Greymane has very little wood, and unless you have a better solution, your argument is invalid. And stop laughing.

We aren't laughing, it's just that... well, you don't exactly have contiguous borders to that area. And stone works just as well, if not better, for construction purposes.

The Learned Scholars of House Khas would like to point out the utter futility of stone ships and the utmost necessity of wood to coastal nations such as Khas and Eldrathion. We hope that a diplomatic agreement can be reached wherein each nation will receive a sufficient quantity of lumber for their respective purposes.

I would like to agree with Grek. While most buildings, if not all buildings, in the lands of house Greymane are made of stonw, we still need wood for handles, for tools, for signs, chairs, cupboards, doors, stairs, floors, and in the long forgotten art of boatbuilding. I say that house Khas, house Galliene, and house Greymane share the forest equally, so as to get the best of the forest.

you can certainly hold a village each. But there can be only one primary holding...

The primary concern for House Gallliene, aside from the lumber, the the strategic ramifications for several of it's neighbors to completely surround the capital. Securing the forest would go a long way, if not totally, eliminating those concerns.

But it is, one of only two unclaimed forests on the entire map. I blame the gm.

House Khas also wants the lumber, but more importantly, we want a chance to pool our resources with our neighbors and start settling much faster than we could alone. Getting an extra village each within the first year will put everyone on the Southern Peninsula in a much better position economically than if we all saved up our own resources and then fought out a protracted and bloody war over who gets the forest.

House Khas would also like to point out that it is in the very same unenviable strategic position that Lady Sara claims to fear: Our capitol is bordered in the South by House Galliene, in the East by House Greymane and in the North by the Sea itself. All war here will be devastating. Let us avoid it and live in a time of peace!

What we should do, is agree to share the penninsula. We all secialise under a certain form of production, and work togethor to reach our goals. I shall happily focus on stone gathering, if this does come to pass.

I'm all for co-operations, it's just I want to ensure we don't end up with riotous border gore. Lets try keeping it somewhat clean shall we? :P

Between border gore and the fact that... well, that forest is right next to my capital means I'm not backing down in being the fact that the tile itself should be mine
