1AB, mid - Autumn

Your wife's training academy has the troops in shape! The army is growing.

A servant brings you a slightly better map of the world.

After you finish looking at the map, you recive word that the Baron of Porthaven was nearly assasinated!

He died of blood loss later, leaving no heir. The people are demanding that Beldan Murphy be put in the position, while your advisors say that the noble Vincent Godfrey is better suited to the job. It has fallen on you to decide whether Godfrey, Murphy, or someone else entirely.

Appoint Vincent Godfrey for the position.
Rouse the people that this murder was yet again the work of Hrelden, and that they'll pay blood for blood (that and the previous fire will give us a moral justification for when our own spies' handiwork starts to be known).

Meanwhile the Chief Justice is to assist the Spy Master in creating a skilled investigation team together to work on the assassination; these will become the core for the Realm's Secret Police under the [Chief Justice/Spy Master]'s office (strike one of them, but I expect that this choice will have deep effects in the future).

Is Gelrand under attack? Ship a substantial part of the army, say, half the troops not organic to the garrisons to them before the winter storms set in. Tell the Spy Master to concentrate on weakening and starving the Hrelden army there so they can be defeated in the Winter campaign.

You inform them that you shall be putting Vincent Godfrey up to the position of Baron. The people are a bit angry, but their anger is directed on Hrelden when you inform them of who actually assasinated the old Baron. Once again, the army increases, and you announce that forces be sent to Gelrand, where most of the fighting is happening.

1 AB, mid Autumn

Under the office of the chief spy master, a secret police is set up so as to ensure that you do not suffer the same fate as the late Baron of Porthaven. The chief justice also helps, but he cannot work full time, due to him being a more public figure then the spymaster. Just afterwards, you recieve a letter from the spies in Hrelden.

It relays that the initial operations have been successful, and much of their army has been starved, as well as varios important nobles having been assasinated

Hrelden seems to be relenting in it's attacks on the old kingdom and Gelrand.
