Being blind, a complete and utter lack of light does nothing to hinder her as she traces the images of any mechanisms or people within her detection radius in her mind...

She didn't like the thought of going into a totally unknown area, but she also didn't like the idea of being out in the open. Essentially, she just plain didn't like her situation at all.
