Well. I'll P2w and await the near-inevitable disappointment.

It's a fantastic game atm, I'd say the comparison to Spelunky is quite apt. Only problem right now is it's there's not quite enough ways to do stuff non - lethally (unless you pick the Thief and even then he runs out of charges). Similarly, it's too easy imo to pick Harambe and just melee everything to death. When more levels and an overarching questline comes along, along with just a bit more... content? it'll be totally awesome and I'd happily pay £15 for it.

Thank you for posting that, added it to the link. The newsletter is a little annoying, but I didn't know of an alternative.

What do you think you're going to be disappointed about?

Looks interesting. Where's the DX-like part, guys?
The game's attempts (not quite there but getting close) to having a variety of solutions to every problem reminds me of Deus Ex a lot.

My hesitation is just my personal hesitation as it seems like a game I'll play for an hour and then never touch again.
I'm still playing it, but I can definitely see it being a 'play and forget' sort of game. Still, the hour you play for is pretty fun!

You see, I'd really like to play, but I can't actually interact with the game for some reason. Any advice?
That's a shame! I'd advise talking to the developer about it - I don't think he's had much exposure and thus hasn't gotten to set on a variety of devices. Any other symptoms?

That articulates my main problem with the game - 'walk in and punch everyone' is too often the best solution.

The mouse won't register on the game, it's the strangest thing. I'll reach out to the dev, see if he knows what's up.

Sounds like lofty goals and the extremely vast majority of the projects I've followed lately have been utter flops in the end. I hope it succeeds, though, really.

That's a realistic attitude to take. I've been burnt on a few things too. But the signs are looking good on this one.

Honestly, if I hadn't bought Rimworld I'm pretty sure I'd still be playing this. A lot. It's great fun.

...Seriously? ???
You guys are upset about signing up for a newsletter? You realise this is delivered via e-mail, right? You don't have to give your postal address or condemn any innocent trees to death. Where's the problem? Even if you're really that worried about a tiny bit of clutter in your inbox, surely in this day and age everyone has plenty of throwaway email accounts?

Nah mang, comedian FTW.
This will... probably wind up being patched out, but as it is you can just tell a joke and drag people around the map as they follow you, waiting to hear the punchline. So you have people with a sense of humour defending you from threats, easily-offended types aggro'ing you, and the resulting riot is more than likely to end in the deaths of whoever you were supposed to kill/steal from in the first place.

My favourite self-challenge is seeing how far I can get without killing anyone... directly.
Gives you plenty of bonus XP, too.

On the note of the newsletter, doesn't signing up give you a chance of a free copy of the game once it's complete? So I don't really see the problem with it.

My one huge issue with it is that the fucking 32 bit build is found ONLY ON  THE BLOODY TWITTER ACCOUNT INSTEAD OF THE GAME'S PAGE. That and that in somewhat bigger but not quite levels it starts lagging really bad.

Other than that it is a pretty fucking fun game, I enjoy playing the Jock and the Assassin the most. Literally charging through walls and smashing everything in your way, or going invisible and backstabbing unwary enemies is great. The doctor would be interesting if you could chlorform from the face too, because it's hard to nigh impossible to get behind someone and do it on them, and in other cases if they are too close to an object/wall it won't work.
