It's more the fact that there is nothing on it they want to play. The only reason I even have one is because of Monster Hunter.
Ah, just as understandable. I never even considered buying a 3DS before Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire were announced. It's really a testament to something that I have well over a dozen GBA and Gamecube games, about a dozen Wii and DS games, and only a handful of 3DS games. Whether that's due to my
sense of quality tastes changing over time or not, I can't say.
I used to have friends with 3DSes. Both of them moved away. :c
...Reading the plot for TFH, I feel like this really, really shouldn't be counted as canon. Ever. I somehow feel vaguely insulted this is supposed to be a sequel to Link Between Worlds.
Tri Force Heroes takes place in Hytopia, a kingdom whose citizens are obsessed with fashion. Princess Styla holds a great power over Hytopia until a witch known as "The Lady" curses her, forcing an unremovable black jumpsuit upon her. King Tuft, Hytopia's ruler and Styla's father, is devastated by the curse and sends out a call for a hero who can lift it. While many answer the call, the king believes the true hero is one who fulfills a prophecy that tells of three heroes coming together to form a totem pole. This hero is revealed to be Link. He and two teammates travel to the Drablands, where they master dungeons by solving puzzles and defeating enemies. After doing so, the three vanquish The Lady, allowing them to lift the princess' curse. Link, King Tuft, Princess Styla, and the people of Hytopia celebrate the heroes' success.
...That's canon? That's considered part of the grand overarching story, but "MAH BOI" isn't?
