The Overgrown Nexus
A pentagonal chamber spreads out before you. Here there is a toppled pillar, a deep pool, a heap of vines in front of a passage to the northeast. A scuffed Statue of Nak Leth towers in front of the cracked brickwork of the north wall. A passage leads southeast to what looks like a Statue Hall. The room is illuminated by the opening back east.

The dead body of explorer NQT, strangled to death and turned at an unnatural angle.

The dead body of Zombie Urist lies here, strangled to death.

Carved into the floor at various points (randomly ordered):

book
Book
Items: 1 Elephant Gun (already loaded), 3 additional Bullets. Vote for someone to lynch tomorrow and I'll attempt to shoot them.
Miniature Toolkit for deactivating/activating traps.
Old bullwhip, stiff leather cord, makes a great sound.
knife
Broken unlit lantern
Matches (6), Whiskey (12)
Colt 45-70, loaded with six bullets. Deadly.

The following explorers (known by their nicknames) are here:
-Blackheartkabal
-Dustan Hache
-Fillipk
-TheBiggerFish
-Roo

Quote
You search the pillar. There's nothing of worth on it, but as you feel around it, the whole thing topples over. As it does, it sets another crack in the brick wall.

TheBiggerFish, come to the Statue Hall and heal me tonight. I'll stay here and look around a bit.
You planning to search anything specific or...? We've a sum potential of 40+ actions. Has everything been put under a search order? I've seen nothing in as far as I can reason out that planning searches to items is anything bad.
Ideally I'd move to the new room northeast of the Nexus, but unless I get healed this phase I'll die, and I'd prefer for that not to happen.
What room?
I'd like someone to work on the Brick wall there since I believe that's another way deeper in.

Judging the pentagon, I'm inclined to think the wall/sides are NE/East/SE/NE/West/SW
NQT: What passages can we obviously note lead or go from the Nexus?

Also inferring from the stuff:
> Someone should try the vines--as far as I see, nobody has posted about the vines.
> Deep pool also hasn't been given any public notice.
> What happened to the Nak Leth statue again? Maybe we can topple that on the brickwork! :V

The deep pool was, in fact, searched, because I tried searching it but someone had already done so.

Anyone please make a summary of these notes? ._.
...Also why not give your details of it? :P I doubt something already searched = 'NQT telling you But this has already been searched!'.

NQT: Will people's items, if they die within a subphase, be seen automatically at the end-phase-report?
Ordinarily, no. Usually dead people's items have to be looted from their corpses.
Hmm, maybe a reword.
Presuming a dim room--do we automatically know if a body has items on it or anything? (Also for curiosity: Can we write on bodies akin to letter B. in 'writing messages'?). What if the room is lit?
No, but you'll know if a body had been searched as their room description will change. You can write on bodies or leave messages on them, sure.

A room being lit changes nothing in this regard, it just means people will be able to see you act.

The exits from the Nexus are listed in the room description. I'm not going to give you info for a room you're not currently in.

Or I'll do it since we've got an hour or so left and it's a timezone fish for most other folks :v

Spoiler: Room Descriptions (click to show/hide)
((Taken from BHK || Substituted my desc))

Spoiler: TBF has the medkit. (click to show/hide)
^ Second opinion confirmed by Dustan Hache
I'm saying 'he did it' because of the tense of the verb he used. Outlined in orange.

Persus is bleeding out.
BHK has matches.
Fillipk and TBF has an unlit lantern. Fillipk requires his lantern to be fixed (unsure if he can fix his own lantern?)

ZU has been strangled--unknown if his items are looted.
NQT requires a burial or consecration or something. [This is me inferring things because statues and he noted a priestess in the flavor; unsure if it's useful but this is a list of notes. Not -that-hard-maybe- facts.]

Spoiler: General Action Plan (click to show/hide)

I am of the belief that 'delicate mural' in the Statue room = something easily ripped :P Or it's just something delicate.
NQT: May we ask what the adjective pertains to in this context?
Also as an aside, is there a deadchat/spoilspecchat (which could also be a deadchat)?

Can items already have messages on them by default?

Persus: Can we have the description by which you saw this 'NE' passage from the Nexus? Why didn't you provide details to it :O

Do you know where it lead?
Northeast, because I went into the Statue Hall instead.
Everyone else: did anyone else notice this passage?
No. I did not.
Also GRR you using abbr tags :I I'm using Chrome (instead of my usual firefox!)
Code: [Select]
[abbr=Helpful little bugger, aren't you, Persus... XD]*hiss* :I

Suggestion: Everyone's First Move could be to move to different rooms--I have spotted multiple instances of people remarking them being attacked after their first action (ie Persus). Also, in order to use an item on a person, their SPECIFIC name in that subaction slot must be selected. (I post-quoted it in my post back there a few)

Also just to poke: FoS BHK because of this (I think I posted about that subtlety as a remark since that's also softclaiming your 'ability' or in this game's context, your 'item', as an otherwise other reasonable idea). The FoS is less of 'I think you're scum' but more of 'What's with the softclaiming @_@ because it feels detrimental if you're explorer/town and strange if scum'.

...
NQT: (or addressed to others) Tomasque makes mention of asking for an item's flavortext. Is it possible to ask you the description of an item and get accurate results?

The discussion phase is pretty much the day game. This feels a ton lacking. :-\

Also (was this mentioned in the first phase? >_< ): Tomasque, how do you know Dustan's items?

NQT: May we ask what the adjective pertains to in this context?
There's only one way to find out. Searching.

Also as an aside, is there a deadchat/spoilspecchat (which could also be a deadchat)?
Yes.

Can items already have messages on them by default?[/b]
There's nothing in the rules forbidding that from happening.

NQT: (or addressed to others) Tomasque makes mention of asking for an item's flavortext. Is it possible to ask you the description of an item and get accurate results?
It's possible but not guaranteed. I will always give you flavour text for something if you ask for it, but I may or may not give the same text as an existing item. Whatever I think will help players lie more  :D

The explorers scheme amongst themselves as to the best way forward, while trying to avoid the uncomfortable subject of the rising body count.

Puzzle Phase 2

Please send in your four actions to me in the next 24 hours, before Thursday 4.30PM BST (GMT+1).

Discussion Phase 2

The explorers begin to co-ordinate once more, though some seem to be staying quiet...

You have received your room descriptions. This phase will end in 48 hours at about 5PM Saturday BST (GMT+1).

Three quarters into the puzzle phase, everyone heard a distant rumble coming from the northwest of temple.

Well then

Persus13 and Teneb are dead.

I had two successful searches

Quote
You search the panel. It appears to be a spring-weighted pressure plate which probably activates some sort of mechanism elsewhere in the temple.

Quote
You pour over the mural. It shows Nak Leth in his full regalia: cloak, scarab ring, staff, flying above a village of screaming, burning people. As you run a hand over it, looking for hidden recesses, the mural fades, no longer readable in this dim light.

TBF: why didn't you save Persus?

I'm attempting to ninja retcon.  But that's... Probably not going to happen.
