As for the betting markets, that's more of a suprise, but I guess this was a surprise. Again, "Odds favor it" isn't the same as "Bettors have been given supernatural predication skills".
If the UK runs another referendum about Scotland's independence, and the scots votes to leave the UK, will they be automatically accepted into the EU?
And how the hell every "serious" poll and betting site predicted Remain will win? even the markets behaved as if Remain already won (Although they go by the Media). is it just a case of a serious Echo chamber mentality? we know today's journalists are basically a young and inexperienced humanoid copy/paste search engine, but have they actually unintentionally/intentionally tempered with the results, seeing/showing only what fits their agenda?
To your first question - unlikely. First of all, the Scottish Leave/Remain split seems to have been 60/40, which isn't huge. And in my opinion, it's ridiculous to say it gives them the mandate to have another referendum so soon after the last one. They voted In, last time, for better or worse
60/40 is more than enough to lose you Scotland frienderino! All they need is 51/49, 60 is more then plenty! Plus Scotland will demand it. They may not get it but the Independence minded among them have been given, yes, the mandate they think they need to push for Independence. Absent the privilege to exercise that right, who knows what may happen.
Again, making fun is fun. As so many Euros have been saying about Trump recently: "Not my problem, so very fun to watch". Tell me England, what's next for you guys? What will pass for British foreign policy after this?
It's funny because David Cameron is directly and personally to blame for this with his rash promise. It would be one thing if the new global recession were caused by some ardent ideologue who hated the EU, but instead it was caused because a very short-sighted politician wanted to win a domestic election
Truly amusing. How does complete failure feel Cameron? How does it feel knowing that you have thoroughly and utterly failed in your objectives? Time to retire and drink yourself to sleep I'm guessing.
I'll check this tomorrow. Gotta sleep.
We can only hope mate, we can only hope. We've done our bit, anyway, now it's up to the Yanks.
You keep to your side of the Atlantic you tea-drinking redcoat, and we'll keep to ours.
