[3] In this eerie place, you strangely feel safe. Is it an illusion of false security or reality ? This thought doesn't even cross your mind as you lazily uncoil yourself from the porcelain arm and try as you may to bury yourself into the ground.

[2] As you begin to float up, you feel your telekinetic control wavering. It seems trying to levitate is taking power away from your beam, and breaking the telekinesis now would be too dangerous as the monster is still a meter away from you.
You back away slowly to put more distance between both of you.
[6] At a safer distance, you (I assume you meant "take" ?) redirect your telekinesis beam on the inside of its mouth. Successfully landing and feeling the power working, you drag it around by the mouth to slam it around. On one side of the room, then the other. Rinse and repeat, the continuous impacts seem to wound the creature despite its thick fur.
The huge weight of the creature is making his body act like a battering ram on the walls. The walls begin crumbling and some rocks begin falling off from the ceiling...

It seems like the monster is totally under your telekinesis. But it is wrong, the creature is more intelligent than you think. Using the trajectory you are forcing unto it, the monster is slowly closing the gap between you, intending to get close enough for its next attack.
After the last impact on a wall, the monster suddenly lodges its powerful claws in the ground to resist your telekinesis and direct its open mouth toward you.
A foul and acidic breath exhales from its mouth and engulfs the whole room. The rock around begins changing color and crackles.
Your skin is like melting and your eyes are burning atrociously. You can't breathe, this foul breath is burning your throat like fire.

Dahak the Uncanny Unreasonably Spooky Scary Skeleton and Caedan the Nosferatu((egads, wat do))
Not only does Dahak feels left out from the conversation, he also feels kinda incapable of affecting the current turn of events. He also wonders about the suspicious cloud of mist hovering in the air not too far from them. I mean, what? Its not even cloudy here, and yet there it is, being all misty and shit.
Uh, guys, the thing is eating the knights while you two share your heartfelt eldritch consolations, also... What :v? You mean Nihil wasn't linked to me at all? What was that whole creepy ~Dahaaaaaak~ deal earlier? Does that mean there's a another, possibly way creepier and more stalker-ish thing that reached out to me during the ritual?
A chill rises up on Dahak's spine as the thought crosses his mind. He decides to not dwell on it for too long.
You know what? Whatever, even with the whole "NANANANAN DELINDE IS MY SOUL ANCHOR NANANANA" stuff, its not like I was going to let you rejoin that thing anyway. Its already a problem being a mindless carnivore blob of snot, it would be a bigger problem if it was a SENTIENT carnivore blob of snot... Wait, you did say you're resonating with it somehow, right?
Dahah feels his inquisitive wizard mind propel him towards a possible experiment. He grabs Nihil by whatever arm analogue he formed out of the gooey mess he used to be, and pulls him close to his face.
Alright, resonance sometimes goes both ways. If that thing can affect you, so can you affect it, probably. So lets do a little experiment.

Delinde and Nihil are immediately affected, because of the soul resonance effect, they share double the fear and this same double fear generate a third fear which is also double. Each of them are fearing 4-time the usual fear.

Nihil emits an incomprehensible scream and contorts on the ground. Delinde follows suit as she holds her head in terror while letting out a heart-wrenching scream. They are so paralyzed by the fear that they can't even properly speak and communicate.
You feel sorry for them, but this is for the greater good. You inspect the thing from afar.

Ah, no. It was just your imagination. It seems nothing happened, this mass down there is totally unaffected by Nihil or Delinde mental state.

Around the black mass, the green plain was stained by black and blood. Hundreds, no, thousands of corpses littering the ground around the ever-growing body of goo.
It now reached such a point that it seemed that its presence was bending a part of reality, like if it was beginning to get so heavy that something would break.
Indeed what broke was the humans minds. Something in the entity appearance made them lose reason. Amongst the retreating battalions, soldiers began to flee in disorder, others disregarded orders and headed back into battle. Others stood there motionless, staring at the cursed thing.
Blood, fear and madness in abundance, filling this place to the brim...

So much lively red. So much lovely screams. So much lonely fear.
Dahak and Caedan never witnessed such a display of madness, this level of carnage was on a scope far beyond what monsters and humans usually dealt with. Here, something was wrong on the fundamental level, like an aberration that shouldn't be happening.
[4] All the spilled blood of this place, tainted by the twisting presence of the black body and the overcharged air in essence began reacting with Caedan's powers. For the first time and unwillingly, he activated a hidden power he always had. Following closely behind, Caedan couldn't help stopping on the plain, drawn to the blood. The black body was far far ahead and busy with other humans, so there was no danger for him.
The lifeless blood of the fallen in which Caedan was bathing began turning into essence. Small quantities of it, but still amounting for a huge number considering the vast volume of blood. Caedan absorbed this new essence, drunk with power.

[4] And then there was all this fear. This pure, raw fear, so omnipresent it felt like air was sinking under it.
Dahak could felt it, this wild feeling agitating thousand of souls nearby. It was like a full-on overdose of ecstasy and orgasm, as all this fear made his bones shiver in pleasure.
And as with the blood, the fear Dahak harnessed slowly turned into pure essence.

[1] You approach the dead body to examine it and harvest its essence. You notice the smoke emissions haven't ended, how strange. As you get closer, you feel a bit hot, how uncanny. There is also a smell of rotten eggs in the air, how disgusting.
Wait. A sudden thought flash in your mind, and you sprint away from the body with all your strength.
The body explodes in a fiery explosion.

Thanks to your reflexes, you and Barak jump to a cover with Bargar unconscious body. You and Barak just hit your heads in the rush, but you escape the blast unharmed. A small headache easily offset not getting burned by an explosion.
There is black smoke everywhere, you can't help but cough. The loud noise woke up Bargar, who is a bit panicked at the situation. But everyone is mostly relieved no one is harmed.
You see the glowing light of the essence through the fog, and you propose to share it with your hunting partners.
"Wait, you can absorb this thing ? That's the first time I heard of something like this. We gain power by eating strong opponents, but in this case...well, there is nothing left to eat..."

[3] You head into the desert with no particular goal in mind. If there is fate to be found, fate will found you.
With this thought in mind, you choose South as a random direction.
The golden desert is unchanging. This fixed landscape is soothing for a being centuries-old. Like in Coridem you think, where the crater has stayed the same for hundreds of years.
After hours of walking aimlessly in the sand, your track seems to extend beyond the horizon. You can still see the huge walls of the crater behind you, but a strange mirage is making them smaller than expected. They are even disappearing sometime.
Then you feel a familiar mana imprint. Something or someone from your hometown passed by here.
And East, in a different direction, you spot mountains from afar. They seem really far.

Thanks to your metallic body and last second hardening, the spears only chip your body, not penetrating inside it.

You try to communicate with the other humans, pleading for help. You also give a heartfelt speech about a dream of peace and unity, but you don't speak Ashafan. And humans usually don't understand monster babbling. Not like they would listen to you so easily though, even if they could understand your words.

Seeing you are not retaliating, they don't enter the fray. You don't seem actively dangerous, so they don't have a reason to attack you. They are trying to reason their five comrades, telling them to cease hostilities.
The hostile humans simply answers that "we will cease hostilities when those monsters are dead".
As for the blinded hunters, they are still on the ground.

The three sane hunters take advantage of the lack of reaction from the monsters to strike first. They first aim at the large insectile monster first, which seems really threatening. Maintaining their distance, they throw short throwing spears at him from a distance.
Unfortunately for Vagush, the spears hit in the weakened spots of his chitin and lodge deep in his body ! And of course, these are not plain spears, they are coated in an exquisite venom hunters use to incapacitate their preys. Vagush's body feels numb, and it doesn't take long before he can barely move.

[5] You focus your efforts on mesmerizing even more the humans still looking at you : those already affected by your previous attempt. They are only two, but fewer numbers mean better single target effect. The overloaded mesmerizing makes a wonderful effect and the two humans are totally hypnotized by the shifting lights and captivating glow. They are seeing you as full allies, and are not thinking clearly anymore.

Vampire - Caedan is a vampire, and gains all advantages and disadvantages that come from being such a creature.

Species: Uncanny Unreasonably Spooky Scary Skeleton -stage 2-
Appearance: Dahak now sports a slightly elongated upper skull, with a second pair of baleful eye sockets above his other ones. His shoulders, arm and hand bones have grown thicker and elongated. He seems a bit taller overall, and his entire self seems surrounded in a smoky aura of sorts. His teeth are now both longer and sharper, for whatever reason. He's certainly spookier then before. He also seems to have gained new memories.
He has a badass worn out cape and a scabbard with a holy dagger.

Appearance: Delinde has the appearance of a medium-sized girl wearing a white coat with a black hood. She wears a white mask, and has some kind of robe under her coat. Behind her mask is hidden a surprisingly human face with a skin as pure as snow. Only her eyes are strange, as hey eyeballs are white and her irises black. Her hairs are silvery and silky, tied in a neat ponytail.
