Turn 51 : GM is cured from the flu
The Ashen the Charred Wraith(DOUBLEPOSTING TURNS IS BAD!!! jk)
Drain the life out of it, then continue on up to the weird structure.
((You don't possess a "drain" skill and the arm is already dry of life/energy))
[5] The strange structure is kindling your interest. Something mysterious emanates from there.
Despite being incredibly weakened, you don't stop to take a break and head toward the hill's top. Your body is on the verge of collapsing, but you push it further. You need to go there, you don't know why but you must.
Floating more like if you were dragging chains made of lead, you painstakingly make your way to the top. And you finally reach the place, out of breath and exhausted. Nine various shaped upright boulders arranged in a circle, each of them carved with a strange glowing symbol on the circle's inner side. You notice the grass isn't growing in some patches, drawing some kind of circuit, like a magic or runic ritual of some sort.
And now that you stop for a bit, you notice how much the air around you changed. Spiritual power is coursing through the air, it is so dense that it feels like bathing in it.
You never actually knew how to interact with spiritual power. You still don't, but you never came across such a high concentration of it in your whole life. And it feels like some of it is pouring inside of you, increasing your mana regeneration dramatically.
You recover 7MP

ZoomochScoomtarto the Three-Eyed BeholderI Try to Pry this pile of fur's jaws off me, (and hopefully it) with my [eye#1].
[3] You focus intensely on the jaws currently maiming your whole body, and with the power of your telekinesis you manage to pry them open and get yourself out. You are maintaining the jaws open forcefully with a lot of effort, keeping the monster at bay for the time being. This thing sure packs a lot of strength to be able to match your telekinesis at such close distance.
You lose 4MP
You are now on the corridor side while the green monster is on the dead-end side. The room is around ten meter wide and four meter high.

Dahak the Uncanny Unreasonably Spooky Scary Skeleton
Dahak almost turns around to run away, but then he hesitates.
Awwwwgh, seriously? This thing is still here? I thought closing the portal would weaken it enough to banish it. But I guess Morvad was right, the other world is taking kiddie gloves off, plus, its my fault this damn thing actualy got through. I should've stayed and helped the world guardian >:v!
Dahak stops and looks around, trying to find a place to hide and think. He then turns to Delinde.
Look, this is my responsibility, if I don't deal with this massive extradimensional fatass, its going to keep rampaging around and getting stronger. I need to do something to stop or at least to stall its progress untill I get enough essence to change again and cut my links to the other world. The world hasn't gone full batshit insane on that thing yet because I'm serving as both a link and a smokescreen for its influence. I need to deal with this, even if I have to punch it out of our universe myself.
Dahak grances at the sarcophagus, grabbing its chains.
I think I might come up with an idea.
Try to find a relatively safe place to hide from both the army and the thing, then start reviewing Morvad's notes with Delinde to try and find a way to deal with that thing. Also, release Nihil from the sarcophagus, he might be a key player in this tussle.
[5] You wisely stand aside from the imminent conflict, hiding in a small wood giving a perfect view of the unfolding events. Calmly and methodically, you take out Morvad's notes from the backpack and begin shuffling through them carefully with Delinde.
She is wearing her mask. You don't remember when she put it back but that's not important.
You read all the notes again and again, memorizing them. But no solution rise from this intensive research. There is no ritual to destroy or send back this thing to its world. Kind of understandable, such a ritual would be on the level of opening a gate to an unknown place and forcing something down this gate.
All you can piece from the notes and the discussion with Morvad's spirit are the following : the black agglomerate must be trying to accumulate more and more essence to fully assimilate into this world. What it means exactly, you don't know, but coming from this thing it can only means trouble.
You release Nihil from his sarcophagus, who is convulsing a bit less since you distanced yourselves from the Thing. Surprisingly, Delinde offers a gentle hand to him and tries to ease his malaise. You don't remember them getting all friendly recently.
"Are you okay Nihil ? I can somehow feel what you feel deep inside. Tell us what you have to say. Have no fear, have faith in me."
Nihil stays silent for a moment, still shaking a bit. And then words come out from his featureless face.
"This is really simple actually. This thing is the body. And I am the mind. Well, was would be clearer. This mass of black matter like you call it is a mindless body driven by pure instincts. As it is my body, I resonate with it."
It all makes sense, you remember Nihil initially spawning out of the Orb, which then became this Thing.
Nihil keeps speaking.
"You want to get rid of it right ? You can't, it is too powerful now. And now that I have gained some kind of independent thought, I am not sure of what would happen if I reunited with my body. I could go back to what I was before, or become something completely different for the better or for the worse."
"There is one more thing he isn't saying. The reason why he isn't trying to reunite with his body is because of me."
"...Since when do you know ?"
"Since the beginning. Our existences are linked, I am your soul-anchor, not Dahak. If something happens to you, I will suffer the consequences. If something happens to me, you will suffer the consequences. And if you join up with your old body, my soul may cause an unforeseeable interference."
You feel a bit excluded from the conversation.

General battle roll : [6]
In face of this unknown threat, the human army quickly adopt a defensive formation. Pikemen at the front, swordsmen and other weapon specialists in the middle, archers and magi at the rear, cavalry and magic cavalry ready to flank the being. The commander in charge is extremely competent despite his young age. The renowned captain Garm, leader of the monster extermination expeditionary force.
But the surging mass of blackness coming straight at them is no monster. This thing is a foreign force, not totally unknown to this World, but nearly forgotten by it.
And for reasons these humans couldn't know, their fate was sealed the moment this thing appeared in the vast plain. For this body of pure black is the worst opponent any human bar Heroes could imagine fighting, far worse than the strongest monsters. A being from another world, a being that doesn't play by the rules of this World.
(...)
The humans unleashed a deluge of attack spells and arrows on the black body from the distance. A deluge of steel, light, fire, energy and elements. Any normal creature would have died to it, and even a strong monster would have suffered heavy damage.
But not this thing. It was left totally unscathed by the devastating attack. Spells seemed to nullify around it, and the puny arrows only lodged harmlessly in the black goo.
Sensing the abnormal danger, Garm ordered a strategic retreat.
But it was too late.
The black wave crashed into the human first battalion. Life, soul and screams all drowned in this black mud which dissected every victims for every bits of essence.
A beautiful, but terrifying carnage.
The other battalions began retreating, as the first one was getting crushed like ants by a giant.
((It was really cryptic so here is what it globally means : humans apart from Heroes have no hope whatsoever to beat a being from an alien dimension. The true reason is linked to the plot.))
Glint the Elemental ArcanivoreGet out in front, draw their attention, and overload mesmerizing into a brute-force frendliness inducer.
((It always amuses me how you try to generate friendliness with rays of light. It makes no sense but whatever ))
[6] Elemental power courses through your vein as your body begins to shine even brighter than usual. It seems like you are going to explode, but this is not the case. You are perfectly in control, not like before when you were just an unstable elemental calcivore.
But you are in no control of your overload skill yet as you will soon discover. While trying to overload your mesmerizing, you also overload your mesmerizing's overload. A bright flash of light illuminates the area for a short instant.
You lose 6MP
(Everyone will make a roll to check if they are affected by your mesmerizing, you included. As for the mantas, let's say they are blindfolded.)
Yourself : [1]
Tirim : [2]
Vagush : [2]
Gray : [3]
Brown : [2]
Humans : [4, 4, 3, 2, 6, 1, 6, 1, 5, 1]
It may be because of the proximity, but all the monsters near you are directly affected by your mesmerizing.
You yourself feel an incredible surge in friendliness toward the humans, your friends, the desert, the sky, the sun, the world... This is crazy, the world is actually such a friendly place !
Tirim and Vagush also feel incredible friendliness toward the humans, Vagush doesn't want to fight them anymore.
Gray and Brown are affected, but the effects doesn't change their behavior. They already felt friendliness to everything.
On the human side, things are a bit more complicated.
On the side of those who didn't wear the mandatory sunglasses :
-those who looked at you directly got severely burned by the light in addition to feeling like hugging their mantas and monsters. Three humans fall off their mounts, their eyes burnt by friendliness simulation.
-the two who didn't look at you directly just felt a sudden surge to join the PETAM (People for the Ethical Treatment of Ashafan Monsters). They are trying to convince his pals, to no avail.
On the side of those who wore their sunglasses :
-the three who didn't look at you directly are perfectly fine and still bent on killing you, despite the pleas of their two comrades.
-the two who did look at you directly felt a sudden surge in hatred toward you and your friends. It seems the mesmerizing reacted strangely with the sunglasses. They are hellbent on killing you.
Summary :
3 temporarily blind friendly humans
2 PETAM future activist
3 okay humans
2 future genociders

Snehk the StalkerUse whispers and attack cautiously (that smoke seems pretty bad). Kill it before it explodes/gas kills us.
[6] You use your skill Whispers of the Damned on the already panicking monster, probably expecting it to freeze in fear and become an easy target.
You lose 5MP
But the whole opposite actually happens. Already maddened by the pain, the monster begins hearing terrifying voices and whispers from everywhere around him.
"NOOO ! NOOOOO !" he screams, flaying around even more intensely than before like a crazed beast.
More and more smoke is coming out of his back, he is stomping the ground and sweeping his tail around. You can't approach him, it is too dangerous. Furthermore the smoke became too thick, you can't distinguish the monster.
Bargar & Barak roll : [6] [5]
Distance is not a problem for the two bears. They take their distance and focus their energy around their claws, making the aura glow even fiercer than before. Then they slash the air toward the monster, unleashing two huge claws of energy flying toward the monster !
The attack hits it directly, opening a huge wound in his body. Bargar expanded too much energy though, and he collapses.
Monster roll : [1] (that's what I call being fated to die)
The monster keeps flaying around, trying to strike some invisible enemies. He didn't even realize the huge wounds on his body, and all the blood spilling out of them. Despite being so fatally wounded, it is moving erratically and with a lot of energy.
But suddenly, it stops moving. It is dead.

Durst the Rock SeerListen for the mana.
[6] You immediately pause and listen to the mana.
An overwhelming torrent of voices and informations floods into your mind. This is too much, far too much, was mana this noisy before ?! Furthermore the voice is... different. It's like hearing a distant cousin instead of the person you were looking for.
What the hell is happening and happened outside ?!
You collapse, exhausted. Here is what you could understand from this sudden burst.
First, there is a desert encircling the crater of Coridem. Strange, there were lush jungles before.
Secondly, the desert extends in every directions. You couldn't get if there was something farther.
Thirdly, this is not the mana you used to read in Coridem. This is mana, there is no doubt about it, but there is something in its nature that is different about it, but you can't find out what.

Chosen roll : [1]
You don't know what but something changed in the mental defenses of the Chosen when she transformed. Like a sudden breach that you coincidentally detected, and took advantage of. Once you enter in the Chosen mind, you get a glimpse of the inside of its head for the first time.
A tiny and frail woman curled up, bound by gigantic purple bands. This is terribly sad and pitiful. The woman's mind is just a weak little being totally controlled by the "god" Tinzakena. But you feel no sadness nor pity, as rage fills your evil soul.
You snap the neck of the frail woman in the mind of the Chosen.
"What is happening !" shouts Tinzakena.
The Chosen's mind is dead, it won't take long before Tinzakena loses his control over the body.
Astrosa roll : [5]
But before Tinzakena can says another word, a claymore made of Astrosa's blood red substance cleave the energy body in two.
"Shut up." she spits to the noisy deity.
The energy body vanishes into the air, leaving behind a pulsing orb of essence. Astrosa gazes at it with lustful eyes, and takes it with her remaining hand. Then she turns toward you.
"Don't worry, I wouldn't do what you are thinking of."
She absorbs a portion of the essence, and her body begins to shiver in ecstasy. You expect her to let out a disturbing scream, but she surprisingly stays rather calm and only sigh in a wave of delight.
She then hands you the remaining essence, that you absorb willingly.
You gain 5 essences. You can transform

Gray the MetaldeeBe friendly. Win the humans over with my naivety and adorable squishyness.
[5] You feel like getting friendlier than usual, which in itself is not usual for you. You jump frivolously toward the approaching humans, wiggling your body to show your squishy adorableness. Against all odds, it totally works, it may be because of the flash of light ?
The humans feel like hugging you and not killing you. They rationalize that in the worst case scenario, you are still one small monster and they are ten humans hunters.
They all feel like this except for the two furious humans. They are coming straight at you to impale you with sufficient prejudice.
