Bit the shit out of my cheek.

Maybe I should see about getting this wisdom tooth removed. It's proving a bit bothersome since it comes out at an outwards-facing angle.

I know it's not worth much but you have my sympathy on the wisdom tooth thing. Those suck and I remember getting all four of them out. I hope you can get that done and I feel bad for you if you can't. That's no joke dealing with wisdom teeth.

They aren't impacted or anything, it's just that none of them grew out straight. None of the others cause issues though, it's just the upper left one.

I can't seem to get my forum games to stay alive. And I want them to stay alive, but I quickly lose steam to keep going. The concepts seem flawed when pursued further, or they end up uninteresting, or very cumbersome, or too esoteric to be readily grasp. I've developed some understanding of them throught the years, but they keep falling apart. It is kinda shameful to let them die off.

Okay, it isn't the end of the world. Besides, it is like fanfiction; it all amounts to elaborate thought experiments that require exactly 0 liras to participate, in which the writer can simply stop writing on a cliffhanger and leave it unfinished forever. It sucks, but it is what it is.

There has been only one game that I managed to carry to a definitive close so far, and I'd really like to do it again. Perhaps, one day...

Know that one all too well, although in my case I suspect some as-yet-undiagnosed ADHD. If it turns out I don't have ADHD, I'll have to confront that I've got the self-discipline of a labrador next to a bag of dog treats.

Mine's autistic burnout, from what I can tell. I could focus like hell when I was a child. The school and the bullying fucked me up real bad. Long term high stress in developmental period seriously impairs attention span and motivation.

Computer troubles. Whenever i close my laptop and let it go to sleep, i cant wake it up again. It's still on, still lights up the keyboard, but doesnt wake up. Ive updated the bios, drivers, windows, disabled it going to sleep, still, the problem persists. I have to force-shutdown by holding the power button and restart it. Havent found any additional advice I havent tried either.

Tomorrow I will finish my last exam and I will get home the day after tomorrow. After almost 15 days’ final-exam-period, the thing I need most is to have a good rest and the company from my family.

Gah, sorting out my NCD proof is a faff.

First off, my proof of NCD is under my old name. Second, the insurance gave me an NCD of two years less than it should be, since I've never made a claim. Third, when updating that information (I intend to chase down my previous insurer. I was with them for 2 years so I suspect they just didn't update the number) I accidentally changed it to having had my license that long instead of the NCD.

A nice combo of personal incompetence and insurance incompetence.

Donald Sutherland is deid :o
I have not seen any of Donald Sutherland’s works (I only watched episodes of the MASH television series), but it is unfortunate that he passed away.

I had an online job interview for a remote position today.
I am disabled with mobility problems. I sit in a recliner a lot because of this while working at home. Moving the computer setup is a lot.

The interview panel made a remark about the recliner being unprofessional.....

"I am disabled. I have mobility issues. This is a zero cost reasonable accomidation.Hence the remote job application...."

Pretty sure you could hear a pin drop.

I don't know if I will get that job. I don't know other options for remote interviews, because job interviews are stressful and the recliner is more comfortable in light of pain. I hear there are filters to make it look like you are in an office on zoom calls. Might have to look into those.

I mean, come on man .... you didn't think disabled people would apply for remote positions?     (sigh)

On the bright side, that guy's probably feeling like he's got his foot in his mouth so hard that he's shitting out boot polish.

*snip*
If you’re in America, you might be able to sue for discriminatory hiring practices. Especially if it seems like they stopped taking the interview seriously after the reveal.

You’d have to talk to a lawyer, but America actually takes this very seriously.
