How do we deal with the wererats?

Scare them into the deeper parts and cave in parts of the cavern, sealing them in
Take out their leaders and try to convince them to surrender
Slaughter them all
Ignore them and look elsewhere

Arioch shuffles his feet a bit from impatience.

"Let us come to a consensus then. Our best chance would be to flush their leaders out, take them out and then try to convince those who would listen to lay down their arms.

Is that the agreement we have reached? If so then we can start as soon as tomorrow."

((I'll throw up a poll and add options if they come up))

*EDIT*
((Screwed up and instead of other I did "slaughter", so ignore that))

((I voted to kill leaders, as it's also a requirement in my mind for the seal option. If they don't surrender, we'll need to move to sealing them in.

((Since I don't really have a marker for Ulf and co., I'm gonna just say the votes on here))

Ulf votes to oust them.

Gorm votes for slaughter.

Borg votes to oust them.

Varg votes for whatever Martijn voted for.

The spirit caller votes to slaughter them.

Ewan calls to oust them

With the votes being 5-3-2, the decision is made. The Moot has decided that the wererats will have a "change in management".

"If we strike quickly, it means the less time you have to defend your home for. I can muster three warriors of the Red-Moon clan for this cause... If Ulf allows for it."

Ulf nods in acceptance.

"We have five warriors to rally for this cause. Bjern will be more useful now if it goes sour and you need to cave them in.

I'm sure with your numbers, you can surely have enough to bring to this battle. Already with those we heard of, you outnumber our warriors.

We will meet on the bank of the river near their place when the sun reaches its highest tomorrow and start this attack, unless you had another idea how to do this?"

"That sounds like a fine plan to me. My only suggestion would be for it to be done tomorrow. Some of us are tired after today's brush with the snake."

((Disregard my previous comment on that then)

"No objections there. The results of this moot will have staggering consequences for the future of our people. Let us call an end to the first tri-clan moot."

Arioch takes the liberty of clapping once when he finishes his statement.

((Working on a post here, don't wrap it up yet, please.

I think he'd protest that he was applauding the succesful negotiations, but we all know the truth. :P))

Jehane looks at Arioch oddly as he claps alone for a long moment. Before others can join in, she speaks up.

"We're forgetting one point if business."

She approaches the tribal and looks him in the eyes, hoping to see comprehension of her words.

"Your hosts think you would do well with us, but you have to earn your position in our tribe. What we are going to do is simple. We're going to kill the leaders of the wererats, and make them surrender. If that doesn't work, we're going to collapse their tunnels. If that doesn't work, we'll kill them all. When that's over, we're going to build a new home for our tribe. If you want to be part of that, you'll have to fight at our sides tomorrow. If you don't want to, that's fine, you can wander off and become snake food for all that I care."

((I meant that he clapped only once. Like a single clap to signal the end of the negotiations.))

"You insult his hosts, James. I'm confident they wouldn't mind an extra pair of hands."

Martijn frowns slightly at Jehane's mention of genocide.

((Hey, it's solidly in third place as far as plans go for Jehane. It's far more efficient to convert some of them to working for us or drive them off.

And I see Martijn and Ritiki both saying in horror 'why is it even a plan?'))

(I wonder if I have yet the strength to punch a tree in two. That would be a good answer to Jehane's babble.)
