D&G find zero Granants, except for a lot of access points to the Granants Tunnels, which are far too small for a humanoid to enter.

Gozer sheds all of his statues but the fish statue, and floats into the tunnels. a ball of Elemental power in a fish's mouth.

Dackly waits at the entrance he chose, lounging on one of the discarded statues, idly polishing one.

Let me take the time to sum up the little revelations they gave me at that point. Firstly, turned out that their gods either became homicidal nutjobs who despite all their power, were unable to best a single foe, or merged together to form a barrier of sorts. What a disappointment, one that I am sure you would agree is befitting a god, considering how the Origin turned out. The next, was that their Conservator-equivalents, were specialists of sorts, their outputs were definitely lower but designed specifically to take out those Vertex and Trespasser units, the luxury of fighting the same foes day in, day out I guess. That of course, that means that the whole little charade it was so incompetently attempting to convince me of was a crapshoot. If they did need to choose people to combat those things, they could have just drawn all them straight out of this world, one possessing people with the right skills tailor-made to put them six-feet under.  The infantry shortage there could then be supplemented by drawing others able to handle those Vertex units of theirs, from other worlds. And yet there they were, choosing to summon people willy-nilly. Not too convincing. Never was too convincing in the first place either. Never did figure out which sons of bitches made that little anomaly, guess in the end they just left without showing their face. Good riddance, one of anomalies was those tiring enough.
