Freeform Favela Battle Part 2: Home Defense
The Donchaka begin to perform the Ballad of 1999, dancing themselves into a frenzy of tangible pulsating red energy as their drums echo across the rooms of the house in an effort to spread healing and morale.
Big Daddy bull-rushes into the miners with his spinning drill. The miners are steadfast, but being steadfast only helps so much when you are a regular human of flesh and bone, standing in a narrow alleyway with a beast not quite man nor machine but all metallic rage bearing down on you with a metallic drill. The miners pile forward, attempting to overwhelm Big Daddy with their hand-held weapons, but it is that spinning drill that does the work in the alleyway, tearing skin from muscle and muscle from body. It's not like Big Daddy hadn't faced similar obstacles in the past, and these rioting miners lacked the kind of inhuman strength and drive that excessive ADAM brought to a normal human being. What Big Daddy cannot accomplish with his drill his other hand performs instead, raining down on the skulls of the miners like a swinging sledgehammer. The mech-man manages to kill dozens of the miners while forcing them backwards.
Volx turns his attention to the rooftops and begins to Mind Crush the Snipers. In quick succession, over half a dozen of them are literally brought to their knees or sent to the ground in crumpled packages, their minds overloading from a figurative bolt of mental lightning.
Kyle grabs the most sword-like piece of wood he can find in the house, which looks more like standard 2x4 than wood, but it's better than nothing. He speaks to Priscilla while gesturing at the Eastern Wall, "Better idea, shoot through the wall over there. Because unless you're fire proof those flame throwers are going to be very problematic." At the same time, he casts Farore's Wind on her. ((I'm not actually sure what this does but I'll assume it's some agility boosting ability.)) Priscilla faces the wall and begins shooting and hits one of the Flamethrowers in the head, sending him falling off of the roof and onto the ground below.
Anna continues to fight off the Rocketeers. She lands a kick on the nearest one, sending him through the tin roof he stands upon. While two of his comrades aim at her, Anna grabs the fallen rocket launcher and throws it at them, slamming into both like a boulder and sending them flying away. Anna charges the final one before he can even position himself and powerbombs him down a chimney.
Aesford lays waste to the rest of the Machine-gunners, until one of them grazes his face with a shot, provoking Aesford to rush him and run him through the sharp part of the blade. It isn't long after that Aesford is removing his sword and watching the man lifelessly fall from the roof. "Oh....oh shit..." He drops his sword, running his hands through his dreads anxiously.
Sandra squirms.
Lynch looks up and sees an 18-wheeler, honking and lights blaring, gunning straight for the front of The House. He disengages from the technical and runs at the truck, but it is too late. Before he can brace, the truck knocks him aside and sends him spinning away as it charges for the house. Meanwhile, the miner on the heavy machine gun takes aim at Lynch while the running back is on the ground. The machine gun fires directly into Lynch, rattling his body, but the combination of the Donchaka's spell and his sturdy frame means he suffers no permanent injury and merely a stun.
The Truck, with no opposition, crashes into The House, demolishing the door and most of the frontal wall, debris crumbling onto the inhabitants inside. The back of the truck opens, and more miners, more heavily armed than their earlier counterparts, with proper mid-grade firearms begin to spill out.
The Snipers pepper the inside of the house, shooting through it's thin Western Wall, though failing to destroy much more than property.
The lone Flamethrower continues to torch the Eastern part of the house, flaring it up even further. The flames begin to spread to the House's interior, getting closer to everyone within the house, as well as The Communicator.
The Mech Suit, spotting Big Daddy, gallops along the Rooftops and leaps off, lunging at him. It does land on top of him, but instead of being knocked down, Big Daddy manages to stay standing and throws the Suit off of him. It lands on the ground, it's claws whirring and its pilot inside biting down on his lip. Being off a similar stature to Big Daddy, it looks as though this may be his first worthy opponent in this fight. The crowd begins to back off from this meeting of robotic giants.
Two Biplanes begin encircling the House, draped in 49ers colors.
A Tank turns the corner and begins rolling down the North End of The House.
The Communicator is 44% online.
The House:
The Stranger's house has is two-storied and four sided. There are alleways to the front and rear of the house, but the eastern and western parts are accessible to people travelling via rooftop, and a skilled jumper could leap onto the roof of the house if they get close. There is a door and two windows facing the front end, and one window upstairs facing the rear end. There is a hidden trap-door/entrance to the rooftop. The house is armored and may have some weapons or tools lying around, courtesy of its owner.
