Freeform Favela Battle Part 2: Home Defense
Volx targets the Miner wielding the heavy machine gun turret on the back of the technical vehicle with a burst of mental energy in the form of Mind Bolt. This proves to be so effective that the machine gunner instantly seizes up, his hands ripped away from the triggers of his weapons as if some mystical force was compelling him. He falls off of the position and onto the ground in a stupefied state.
Kyle takes on the role of a tactician, "Anna, return fire on the MGs please. Uh, suit guy, could you flip that car? It's going to get annoying if you don't. Sandra... uh... could you find something to maybe throw at the rocketeers? And... Where the fuck are all these guys in armor coming from? Sod it, you, medieval armor guy, go stand off against the mob with Aesford and Lynch." He then searches the house for some sort of weaponry, and around it he finds spare parts like chunks of wood and metal pipes that could serve as improvised weaponry. Additionally, there appears to be a box full of what look like hardened metal boomerangs.
The Stranger picks up one of these metal boomerangs and flings it through the back door where it flies into the rear alleyway and collides with the head of one of the miners in the mob, and then another, and then hits the wall and rebounds into the head of another miner, a satisfying series of *thwacking* sounds comes from down the alley as over a dozen of them fall to the ground before the boomerang comes right back into The Stranger's hand with ease. He runs to the Communicator and begins to fiddle with several knobs and dials, trying to pick up a signal through the static.
Big Daddy loads his Rivet Gun with ammunition and sets his drill spinning as he walks out to the rear of the house, Little Sister clamoring on his back, he stands wide enough to nearly take up all the space in the alley, forming a wall. The mob draws closer, yelling insults and provocative jeers at the Big Daddy, they appear not to be dissuaded by either his size or the massive spinning drill like most people would be, but these were not normal people, these were the dredges of society that were desperate for any supplies or satisfaction and had long dealt with the presence of the futuristic Peacekeepers in their communities. A few bottles and bricks fly at Big Daddy, smashing against the metal walls around him or landing at his feet just a few inches away from where he stood while guns are fired off into the air; Big Daddy's eyes glow an ominous red.
Anna runs up the stairs and onto the roof of the house and looks around her to see that the house is being flanked on two sides. Seeing as how using any of her weapons on these people would definitely ensure lethality, she goes unarmed and jumps onto the Eastern Rooftops since the armament they have, namely explosives and fire, would do more damage to the house. She lands with a flying kick that sends one of the rocketeers flying backwards, skimming across rooftops until he stops. Anna then begins punching them left and right out of the area with just enough force to incapacitate and not rupture any vital organs.
Aesford runs up to the roof as well, and seeing Anna taking the Eastern Rooftops he leaps to the West, bullets whizzing around him. He draws the 12th man but does not activate the deadly blade, instead just using the metal handle itself as a bludgeoning weapon to bash against the heads of the gunners to knock them out, as well as battering their arms and forcing them to drop their weapons.
With the force or a raging bull, Lynch runs outside and straight for the technical with its disabled gunnery. He smashes into the vehicle with enough force to slam it into the wall, damaging it but failing to flip it over completely, it is still immobilized however. The occupants inside the vehicle are jostled but quickly regain their senses.
Priscilla checks to make sure her pistol is fully loaded. "Say non-lethal all you want, if any of them get close to me I'm hitting them between the eyes."
The Miners in the technical draw their weapons and attempt to get Lynch off of their vehicle. The nearest occupant to Lynch draws a club and begins whacking him across the head, to which the giant football player responds by smashing him in the jaw, knocking him unconscious instantly. This dissaudes the other Miners from attacking Lynch and they abandon their vehicle, save for one of them who jumps upon the back of the car and attempts to salvage the Heavy Machine gun.
On the Western Rooftops, the Miners do their best to suppress Aesford with shots until he is forced off the roof. A particularly well placed sniper round catches Aesford in the shoulder be performs a flip rather than falls over and remains on his feet and on the rooftop.
To the East, the remaining Rocketeers fire explosives at Anna, a perhaps ill advised move. Anna is nonplussed as the rocketry explodes around her and she easily weaves around the attacks, but during this time the 2 Miners with Flamethrowers manage to get close enough to the House to begin igniting its side. Those within the House can feel an intense heat coming from the East.
The Mob draws closer and closer to Big Daddy, as fearless as ever.
From the North End, an 18-wheeled truck comes barreling down the narrow street, on a collision course with the House.
From the East, a miner wearing a rusted Mech Suit roughly eight feet tall clamors to the rooftops.
The Communicator is 22% online.
The House:
The Stranger's house has is two-storied and four sided. There are alleways to the front and rear of the house, but the eastern and western parts are accessible to people travelling via rooftop, and a skilled jumper could leap onto the roof of the house if they get close. There is a door and two windows facing the front end, and one window upstairs facing the rear end. There is a hidden trap-door/entrance to the rooftop. The house is armored and may have some weapons or tools lying around, courtesy of its owner.
