My rule stands: So long as it's used for Good, such as comedy, Metaing is allowed. However, if you use it to gain knowledge about a world, character, or something plot related, it will not be tolerated and you will get a debuff.

TBF, stop using metaknowledge for anything except comedy, or I will evict Alan from the game. Meta-ing with no justifiable excuse (having faced these same opponents, for instance) is tantamount to powergaming because you have an advantage over the rest of us for no good reason. Possible solution to the meta issue, in regards to Alan: Retcon him into being from an Earth where most of the represented content doesn't exist? Then he can still be Genre Savvy without being meta.
