We didn’t roll up any new personnel this week – a shame, I’m getting somewhat desperate for a mechanic by now.
Anyway, Jack’s Recon Lance rolled up a Chase (Defender) mission while they were out on a training run for Arnaud. Neither of our two lances on battle duty rolled high enough to join in, so they’ll be on their own.
The terrain isn’t ideal, but with three of our four mechs jump capable, we should be able to use it to fight enemies in reasonably bite-sized chunks. Jack might have a bit more trouble with it since he can’t just jump over things in his way. We need to destroy six of the twelve enemy targets to win this mission, so let’s get started.
We get everyone configured. We’ll start on Round 2, the reinforcements arrive on Round 8. Given the number of vehicles, enemies getting away isn’t really a problem, we just need to arrange things so we can gang up on the enemy without the same happening to us.
The three jump-capable mechs are running for it, while the Trebuchet is a bit stymied by the terrain. EuchreJack deploys to deal with that, while Little Dog and Arnaud are on the right to deal with the vehicles there.
EuchreJack fires his large and front medium lasers at the Trebuchet, while Little Dog and Arnaud focus on one of the two Scorpion Light Tanks at Arnaud’s feet. If it goes up, he’ll kick the other one.
