That should be possible. :)

Now, for those with the rules sheet open, a roll of 2 or 3 is no mech, but for the sake of fun, I'm bumping all of those up to having a light mech. The other roll comes out to a JR7-D Jenner, but for sentimentality, I see no problems with getting the exact version you want.

Just curious, what did I roll?

We got a pretty mean line-up of mechs. Even the light-lance is looking pretty tough with a jenner and a wolfhound!

Your roll comes out to a heavy mech, specifically the QKD-4G Quickdraw (GentlemanRaptor).

What mech did I roll? Don't know if you noticed but I edited my original post to contain the rolls.

Name: Martin Johnson
Callsign: Lucky Bastard
Age: 21
Birthdate: 29th of February
Gender: M

Nation of Origin: Solaris

Bio: Martin grew up on the fringes of society. Solaris poor working class, when they where lucky, or the unemployed masses. Those that are not shown to the tourists and the wealthy spectators. His father being a drunk meant that he usually wasn't part of the working class, and his mother left them early. Martin can't really blame her. He took to the streets at an early age, the gangs were his real family. Though he is neither the tallest nor the strongest one around, he is quick and he can keep standing after punches that send others to the floor. He is also a gambler. When he outgrew the gangs he managed to get a quite steady income by gambling, sometimes even ripping off those adventurous foreigners that dared to wander into the bad parts of town. While kind of steady, most of the income went into betting on the arena fights. Actually, more than the income, he had to borrow money. He got his nickname through this, as more than once he managed to pay back what he owed just before the bruisers would show up at his doorstep to make an example of him. Last month he hit it bigtime though. He accidently betted on one of the newcomers who had a similar name to one of the regulars, and against all odds that lucky guy won. And so did Martin. That was more money than he had ever dreamed of having, and a lot more than his life was worth where he lived. It was even enough to buy a Mech and a ticket to Outreach. Well, at least if one considered the money he borrowed from different people at home as donations. He just hopes they will never get off Solaris.
Now he is looking to fulfill his dream of becoming a Mechwarrior, though he is barely able to do more than walk in his new Mech. But one of new Merc Companies took him on nonetheless, and they even promised to show him some tricks before the first battle. Like...which button triggers the emergency escape.

Roll 2d6: 9
Roll 1d1000: 622

Lucky Bastard, you're my hero.  We totally won't use you as a decoy in the light lance...

Oooh! Give Lucky Bastard an LCT-1M!

For those who aren't aware, it's a Locust stripped down to a mere ton of armor and equipped with a pair of LRM 5s. Two hits, and you're likely fucked. Even falling down can ruin your whole day.
On the 3056 MU*, we kept one on our roster in Smithson's Chinese Bandits and dubbed it "The Doghouse". If you fucked up, you were going to be "in The Doghouse" for a while.... :P

Haha, his roll comes out to another SHD-2H Shadowhawk, but the Solaris start means it can be customized instead of the default model.

Up to you, Rince Wind - it can be any model of the Shadowhawk available with basic technology, or if you have a design in mind we can discuss how it should be changed, or you can leave it up to me to fiddle with it.
