That is inefficient. They will be able to counter it in a single revision phase, it does not win us any territory and is does nothing to the air war.

This. This is another reason why we're losing. Chlorine gas will be of no use to us. Stop jumping on the bandwagon.

We've already lost, though. I just want to see what happens now.

At this point I'm only watching, instead of playing, since it feels useless to try to design weapons when Arstotzka advances on every front anyway.

Hmm.

We haven't lost, we're only losing very badly. There's a difference.

Well, I actually really want to see the flavor text for how gas attacks go now. Maybe I should change that to "not playing to win."

I don't know. If we are going for one last bang we at least should do wunderwaffe with some dignity. Instead you opt for gas which is the worst wunderwaffe in this situation.

Seriously. The Arsetotzkan pigs deserve suffering, sure, but gas just isn't gonna do anything. I think we should be more ambitious, because even if we're probably screwed either way, we might as well put out something cool. Here's my proposal, which should at least fuck up their planes, and unlike both sides' current pintle mounted heavy machineguns this should actually be able to hit things that are flying at a respectable altitude.

Bumblebee AT/AA

A 3.5 inch gun firing timed or contact explosive shells which can depress its barrel enough to target enemy ground forces at direct fire ranges, it is either towed or mounted on a simple diesel powered carriage. It is equipped with a predictor system (think Kerrison Predictor) which aims the gun and sets the fuse timer automatically given the observed altitude and speed of the target, obtained by acoustic location or manual operator input.

They're similar, but not identical. I'm really holding out for the predictors, they're literally required to have even the slightest hope of hitting enemy bombers. If they were added to this I'd vote for it.

By the looks of it, it's a simple computer, right? Will we be able to pull it off?

The system was invented in 1925, so probably.

Thinking about it, their AA should probably not be worth a whole fucking lot without some kind of fire control, but I didn't think to bring it up when it would have been relevant. And I certainly don't want to bring it up in the OOC thread when they can get one of their own and keep us from getting ahead in tech.
