a platoon can do so much more than a squad
And is also a easier target for their dive bombers.

So give each squad in a platoon a small IFV instead of a massive bus, which can get shot to hell by tanks, planes, etc...

No more vulnerable. At least not as vulnerable as a packed bus.

I think we are converging there, though there is a strong case for full track, namely lower ground pressure so more useful in a Jungle.

Actually I think we should save the flamethrower until we try making something akin to the churchill crocodile. Because that way we get a BIGGER flamer out of it :P

We have had the tech for a while though, it would give us jungle and city advantage.

Maybe, but for two design turns on it, I think we'd be best served by making something rather... impressive with it's introduction.

And there's no reason we couldn't make a Colt variant that has a Breaker cannon mount instead of machineguns and passenger space either.

And why is the 1.6 inch a derp gun exactly? Besides, the AC is also faster and also fills a role that the IFV can't (Reconnaissance).

At any rate, either design isn't that viable given the fact we're in close-quarters. We just can't afford to focus on armoured vehicles at the moment.
