"I suppose I might as well. Sanctuary is run by a King, though he is checked somewhat by the nobles and his appointed Inquisitors; however, they often agree on matters so the king is rarely checked. Thaus itself is headed by a council of monsters, humans, and demons; and unlike Sanctuary, they actually to check each other over various issues so it's arguably better run than Sanctuary. If you want to know about Belitram I'd recommend asking Aenbarr or Isaac, they both seem to have spent some time there."

"Demons? I see. We have very few of those back home, so that's not something I would have expected. Still... Thank you for that. If I have other questions, I will ask them later. Do either of you have any questions for me?"

Sticking with Aenbarr, as she was most comfortable with him, Elysia wondered how to bring up the many topics flying about in her thoughts.

"I never expected all of this when I signed up, to be honest. Just glad we can adapt quite well to everything. And-um, I've been very curious how you can communicate so easily there, Aen."

"Hm? What do you mean?"

"You're welcome. You're better off not defending Sanctuary around us, though. It's hopeless, though for good reasons." he replied to Eneas.

: "I know. But it's tough hearing so many bad things about it... Especially when people like my brothers and my father are apart of it. They're not evil... At least... I don't think they are."

To Andala, he mouthed a quiet sorry. He hadn't necessarily tried to spark an international incident by inciting her to faux violence. Then again, he was proving to be very, very poor at not being at the center of political incidents.

"D'aww, no harm's done!" She went on to give Eneas a pat on the head with her staff.

Eneas buzzed with quiet annoyance. Why...

"Hm? What do you mean?"

"What I mean is you can connect to people. Practically. We can all match that idea in combat but doing it with words alone is a skill in itself. That's why I'm (failing to) wondering what people are thinking here, because we're on a path that deals with social conflict, or at least touches it quite delicately. And words bring ideas; any hostility we'll be facing will be built on these ideas."

She lowered her voice as she commented on the incident back before they had 'met and knew' Nantale and instead were fighting against her--much as she liked the cat person, she didn't want to talk about it in such an 'Elysia'-way at the moment.

"So what I'm thinking is I'd like to learn more from you. You're someone I could call as the closest I have to a best friend. And I haven't been this talkative until after the ship broke."

Isaac, much to everyone's unsurprise, doesn't react.

Inido frowns and quickens his pace, digging his fingers deep.

"What's 'evil'?"

: "That's... That's a good question."

He paused for a long time. Thinking. Finally he answered.

: "Evil is that what defies the will of the Goddess. To desecrate her works of nature. To kill, willingly, another human being. To deny her existence in the acceptance of false gods. These things are evil."
