"Wait! I'll go with you, I may be old, but you need somebody to watch over you."
Go to the shed, and keep an eye on Maryn, and Pavel. Use the lantern, to help light the way.

Go to the shed with everybody else.

Pavel chuckles ruefully, shouting back, "Oh, that's one of the few things I doubt not at all!"

(One thing, I'd prefer if you would consolidate your actions in one post. Good roleplay so far, by the way.)

With the encouragement of Mark behind them, the volunteers set out.
Quote from: The Volunteers
To The Shed!
After discussion and repeated shoving, they all agree to walk outside. Svetlana uses her Oil Lantern to light the way for at least a little while. They step out onto the steep hill where the barn rests on the side of. The night sky is awfully clear for such a wicked night, but under the moon they can see a huge thunderstorm. Svetlana points her lantern towards the shed while Pavel, Arvil', and Maryn approach it.
The shed was originally for goats, built by shepherds hundreds of years before. It is a surprise that such a shabby stone shack has survived without scars.
There is bad news. The shed door is open a crack. The lock is on the ground under it. Someone has broken into it. Svetlana thinks that someone professional must have picked the lock, judging by how intact it is. Arvil and Maryn argue that it looks more like a break-in. Pavel notes that someone must have kicked the lock in, but with such precision that it wouldn't break and strong enough that it would fall off.
This is an omen. Who would seek to rob this family?

Pavel growls slightly in his throat, lifting his hatchet from its loop on his belt.

"Hold, there's something wrong about this," he says, nudging the door open with his foot.

Open the door carefully. Resist the temptation to make a Star Wars reference about precision and Stormtroopers.

Follow behind Pavel, help him if he gets in trouble.

"If you like. I'd rather have this done and ended as soon as possible, but this work is too neat for a simple thief, I say."

"I will also keep watch, I can't stand to see any of you get hurt. Also, please be careful in there, remember to stay together. Pavel, have my lantern, I think you will need it inside."
Keep watch and give the Oil lantern to Pavel.

Taking the lantern in his free hand, Pavel nods his thanks.

(I think we shall go at a faster pace then once per day.)
Quote from: Pavel and Maryn
Go inside.
Pavel shines the oil lantern around the shed. The place is dripping with water coming from the roof, which is simply fabric stretched over the top. The room should be filled with shelves holding everything this family holds. Each one of them is bare. In fact, anything that wasn't nailed down has been taken. The only thing remaining is pile of fresh Soviet rubles on the ground.
Whoever stole from them is at least polite.
Quote from: Svetlana and Arvil'
Keep watch.
Is that a shooting star? Oh, no. Just more lightening.
It is beginning to drizzle.

"We need cover from the rain. I'll be going inside the shed now. What did you see?"
Go into the shed.

"no no no no No!"
Search the shed for anything that might have been left behind, or even just loose boards I could take back as firewood. Anything I can try to use to deal with this disaster.

Hearing the cries, Arvil' checks for tracks leading out of the possible exits of the shed.
