Mirella descends as well, heading to look at the gap in the wall at X23 that she walked past before.

Adrik descends the stairs as well.  He is careful to avoid the trapped step.

Johanna was getting impatient watching her allies study mushrooms a bit too closely. She had to get them moving before all fell victim to the same thing that had affected yonder empty headed noble.

She herself was getting quite long winded and verbose, the prelude to her own full blown mystic mushroom galatic ponderings.

"Enough philandering and gadflying about, you spoiling mass of gendarmes!

There's a binary multitude of ways to egress, you see? If this party of roustabouts is seeking to counterflank the obverse portal, we're gonna have to take our bodies on a a temporary physical removal from the current pathway...assuming this fungtacular avenue terminates to a place in time and space as we understand it...we should keep positive dispatch momentum, lest we incur soprofic or hallucinatory deleterious air-borne plant based chemical derivative effects by malingering in this temporal/physical boundary area. Thus, we should now commence a smooth striding action with your base extremities, and retain spatial awareness of significant impetus constraints in our cone of action/thought!"
She said, moving on.

Action: Btw does the stonework path forward look natural or carved? Does it look people travel though here often?

Also, time to push forward anyway! Down the path assuming it's not a cliff or something! Go go go!

"Or you could just say 'move before the mushrooms make us go funny in the head'.

Which I heartily second."

Proceed but watch for traps.

Mirella:
The alcove that had intrigued Mirella is not in fact empty. It smells vaguely of coitus and contains discarded undergarments.

Johanna:
The stonework looks natural, but heavily treaded. The ground is covered with criss-crossing boot and claw tracks.

The party moves forwards, revealing a big, spooky cavern. Long shadows line the floor, and the party's footsteps echo loudly, bouncing off the slick cave walls. A spear rests by the entrance to a passageway leading the west. Furthermore, at the edge of what can be made out, there's a drop off, further down into the cave.

Make the stonework check, too.

Also, look at 14AP.

Arwen moves to take the spear. Don't want anyone using it on us, after all...

Johanna was about to pop Arwen in his gourd, a very apt term since the insides were usually filled with mush...

"This contiguous cavern system is queerly rife with superfluous dread! Hark and parley, prior to committing an inviolable tactical error, you towheaded bafomdad."

Action: Inspect the spear more closely! How long has it been stuck here? Does it look like it has planty things growing on it and what not? Is it rusty like an abandoned weapon or nice and sharp like someone just set it down here to use the restroom for a minute!

((Edited for racism! I think...))
