Got to play for a little bit.

It looks really interesting so far, though I do have a few gripes I would like to share :)

- Flight is kinda wonky. It accelerates suddenly way too fast near gates. It's so hard to actually get into the area where you can engage hyperdrives!
- Autopilot is also kinda wonky. After you jump, if you don't disable it, it'll just keep flying in a random direction. It also doesn't get you to the engage area in gates.
- Where are locaaaaaaations?!?! I need to find Enceladus, and I have no idea how to get there. Been jumping around... a lot! Is there a map somewhere?
- Pretty please make the mousewheel work! There's a whole lotta scrolling to find/talk about people - it's got to be easier than clicking and dragging small scrollbars :)

Anvil folk - thanks for the feedback! I was tweaking engine acceleration code recently to try and speed up space mode (otherwise it all feels a little slow), and the autopilot is now not able to always fly correctly. This is very high up on my list to fix.

Sorry about the lack of in-game map of the whole system. I just simply ran out of time to put it in. Here's a hint until I put one in: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enceladus :D :D

The mouse wheel should definitely work... try fiddling with the sensitivity in the game options from the main menu.

Not just autopilot though. It seems like under a certain speed threshold, the facing of the ship determines direction. Above the threshold, the facing does not affect direction. And when you're going slow enough near objects, the ship just suddenly darts forward and is really hard to control!

No worries! I was on the right track - but now it turns out I don't have the visa for the Io jump :( Looks like I'll be losing some reputation from that :(

Right, so nothing was selected under scroll speed in the options menu! It might be worth setting some sensible default option like x2! After I clicked one of the buttons, thtings now appear to scroll!


Also, just noticed there's a loud, short static sound when you "Save and quit" from in-game. It's rather jarring :)

Just bought it and started it up. Started out with the aspiration to have $200,000. Took a $5000 loan from the bank. Hired one of the 10 cargo capacity ships. Instantly it says I completed my life's goal. Something is up with the net worth calculation I would guess, that or it's checking whether you have a ship instead of whether you have money.

Space travel is basically unplayable as-is. Let me guess, you made a few improvements for the release before letting people test them? Hehe. The weird speed up thing around gates makes them a serious pain to get to even with the ships that turn fast, good luck trying it with a large slow turning ship. The big cargo ships turn painfully slow even if the autopilot and everything worked.

Also got a crash and an error while landed on a planet and attempting to go between locations in the city.

The following problem was encountered:

Hi Paul,

Sorry about all those bugs happening to you at once! Can you please check the main menu for me and check the version text in the bottom right hand corner, and post it through to me? Some of those bugs sound like they're from an old version, which is very weird.

Oh and which platform are you playing on?

I'll fix the space acceleration thing tomorrow.
