So, I'm trying to find the most hilariously awful game I can for a gag gift. Last christmas I got him Sneak King, the burger king stealth burger assassination game, for the Xbox 360. This year I think I'll probably do it through steam. I know Bad Rats is the obvious one, but I think he's already heard of that.

So here's my requirements:
-$1 or less. Yay for steam sales!
-Hilariously awful, not just something that is dull and crashes.
-Bonus points if it looks like it might not suck, on its face. Not required though.

I quite liked air control to relax, and my mother enjoyed it as well.

One of the worst games I've played: Woodcutter Simulator 2013, which I've gotten in a bundle. Currently 3.75€ though.

EDIT: Actually I don't know if it qualifies as an Awful game or not. I have a gift copy I haven't given away yet. It seems like the kind of thing you are looking for though, unless by awful you mean actually put together badly. I haven't played it but I got a gift copy with the same idea as you.

Checked it's $5 at 50% off so nevermind, sorry. I think I got the gift copy at 75% off but I maybe misremembering.

There are tons of dumb anime games out there, that are pretty awful. They're all pretty highly priced, though.

If you can find one of these on a horrifically deep discount, I'd consider it a good gag gift. Then again, some people might actually like this crap or not immediately think of it as a joke.

Please don't make bad games any more of an enterprise I know you're not responsible, but still. I've seen enough Grass Simulators to last me a lifetime. But if you must, then Hack, Slash, Loot is the worst game I've ever played. Consider this my recommendation.
