Hatoful Boyfriend is not a bad game. But it's certainly a good gag gift.

I just bought Go! Go! Nippon! and so consider myself an authority on its value as a gag gift.
It totally is.

Really a good chunk of the VNs would qualify as good gag gifts. Because of how shit they are.

I am pretty sure it is over 1 dollar.

Though yeah I think the best gag gifts are ones that are either secretly good (Like Hatoful Boyfriend which is a parody), OR have a "So bad its good" quality.

Also DANG IT! I know too many good gag gift games that are over a dollar.

If you're looking not to waste too much cash then Desert Golfing, just because it's frustratingly evil.

All of the more famously bad games I know of are still sold at more than $1, unfortunately.

If you're really stuck, go and find an old video store of charity shop and you'll find something horrendous.

Hack, Slash, Loot is the worst game I've ever played. Consider this my recommendation.
I rather liked that actually.
How about Enviro-bear 2010? It's only paid (99 cents) for smartphones.

Completely off topic but tangential: did you know sub-games are gone? when did that happen?
(the idea being very roughly: "burn sub-games on a CD and put it in a nice box. Present as 'retro classics'")

I think we can all get down with Enviro-Bear to be honest.

There's takedown, red saber. Not sure if it's entertainingly bad enough though.

I wouldn't call Takedown that bad. Maybe some of the xbox indie creations. Shark deathmatch?

They are still in the same place, just not linked from the main page. IIRC it is that way since site redesign that happened a good few years ago.

I quite liked air control to relax, and my mother enjoyed it as well.
You're not thinking of that touchscreen game where you guide a bunch of aircraft onto a runway without them hitting eachother are you? Because, they're thinking of this game.
I'm talking about this Air Control.
I ... well ... just ... I ... what ... how ... OH GOD THE HUMANITY ...

Ok, that definitely is worse than my suggestion. Now excuse me, I feel the urge to wash my eyes out with bleach.

That's no gag gift, pretty sure that's like a declaration of war or something.
