The nun stood frozen for a moment before wiping her eyes.

: "Everyone...I had no idea...thank you." Having made her decision at last, she found a space to sit down at the table with the group (though she avoided looking at them for the moment, until she could get herself under control again).

Fer looked at her wiping her eyes and sitting down and with some amount of awkwardness. He waffled between continuing to offer her the notebooks and withdrawing them for a moment before just putting them on the table.

Several large tomes, bound in leather, landed on the table.

"Here Amberly! You have to catch up but I have already set aside all the books you need. You will have to start with the 'Rulings of Higher Al-Gebrah', and from there you could move onto 'Scriptures of Iem'pi, God of Disruptions'..."

Glad for other happenings, Jesseo didn't want to break the silence but also wanted to add to the ambience and mood.

On a whim, she moved over between Lucrezia and Beryn.

"Excuse me...I was just wondering, if we're going on with the quest, we'll all be together right?"

Amberly jumped in surprise.

: "Oh! Well. I would be happy to continue my studies, Revered Abbess, but only if you would be willing to let these books leave with me. I spoke to our guests and they've convinced me to continue traveling with them."

Cetus blinked in surprise at the name of the tomes and slid over a bit.

"Those aren't exactly common books, are they? And could certainly be useful in learning more about how our enemies operate. I don't suppose you have anything on Telm Ostat or Anthraxus? Those were two of the more powerful gods from what I remember and certainly could be useful as we move forward."

[Haspen]

"What??"

The Abbess let out a tired sigh.

"One cannot flip-flop like that! Amberly you are the worst. And I won't borrow you these books because they didn't survive centuries being carried around under the open sky."

"I have the 'Long List of Lolkate, Goddess of Laughter', if you are interested."

[Sirus]

: "I'm sorry...they were most persuasive. And I would love to take the Lolkate book, since you offered."

[Haspen]

"No, I'm offering him a read, not letting him take it with him! And besides, Amberly, I would like my pendant back."

[Swordstar]

Cetus smiled slightly.

"I think we could all use a laugh right now. Why don't we both read it for a bit before we head out Amberly?"

Lucrezia smiled shyly at Jesseo's question.
"..."
"O-of course w-we'll still be t-together, Jo."

: "...My mistake."

Amberly undid the pendant's clasp and returned it to the Abbess, with only a slight hesitation.

: "Thank you again for letting me borrow it."

Cetus smiled slightly.

"I think we could all use a laugh right now. Why don't we both read it for a bit before we head out Amberly?"

: "That sounds like a good idea."

[Haspen]

Abbess let out a sigh, and then, from the bottom of the pile, pulled out a ornate tome.

"Now, I had this vague feeling that you might not want to stay, so here, take this book instead. 'Analects of Maikro the Soft'." Abbess basically pushed the book into Amberly's hands.

"Normally I wouldn't even let such a rare and precious book to leave the House of Scholars, but I believe it will be more useful in your hands, Amberly."

[Sirus]

Amberly's eyes widened, even more so when she began rifling through the pages.

: "This is...! Abbess, where did this come from? I don't ever recall seeing it in the library, not even in the restricted sections."

[Haspen]

"You're too young for such secrets, Amberly! When you finally come back from your merry adventuring, then I might tell you."
