: "Well, no I haven't. Not in so many words..."

"Then do tell them farewells before they go and you will start regretting things."

Beryn took a seat with two cups of tea (one of which was drunk immediately) and a couple of the rolls.

"This tea's pretty good!"

[Sirus]

The nun grimaced again, but the Abbess probably had a point. She departed from the two older women with a bow and found her way back to the room where Ethan's crew waited. Having no desire to interrupt them and not exactly eager to give them the news, she waited for a good minute before speaking.

: "Um. I would like to. To, thank all of you for having me along. On your quest. I learned a lot." The nun was stammering quite badly, unused to drawing attention to herself.

[SeriousConcentrate]

Beryn paused eating and swallowed politely before responding.

"What's up Amberly?"

[Swordstar]

Cetus blinked and then frowned.

"You're making it sound like you're not coming with us anymore..."

[Sirus]

: "That's because. Well, I'm not. I'm staying here."

[Swordstar]

"Why? You know people like you in the group. You've clearly helped us throughout this trip... Is... is it because of all the stuff we've learned about religion?"

[Powder Miner]

Fer spluttered on the tea he had been drinking.
:"W-- coff, urgh, what?!"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"OK, so, I get that everything you believed your whole life is a lie, and that sucks. But you're gonna go back to trying to pretend that it ain't? Maybe I'm just a backwater mountain boy but that don't make any kind of sense to me."

Beryn sighed.

"I mean, what are you gonna do with yourself? Seems to me like it would be hard to go back to your old life like ain't nothing changed."

[Sirus]

: "I'm not going to go back to my old beliefs. I can't, no matter how much I might want to."

: "Instead, I feel it is my duty to ensure that the people here at the House of Knowledge learn the truth, so that we can work together and resume our studies in light of new knowledge. We might be able to find...something...in the archives to help stop the Old Gods." She did her best to keep the doubt out of her voice; considering that none of the texts she remembered mentioned anything even vaguely like the story DeMurray had told, the odds had to be a million to one.

[Swordstar]

Cetus frowned and commented,

"Well ok, there are, what, maybe ten of us? And how many members of this monastery are there? We need you. Please."

[Powder Miner]

:"But we're the ones who have been actively finding things to find them."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"I think we all know there's only one way to stop the Old Gods. Still, it's your decision and I'll respect it. Just spare a prayer for us if you decide not to come with, all right?"

[GiglameshDespair]

"..."
"U-um. M-miss Amberly? I-I know w-we haven't r-really talked, b-but I-I'd m-miss you if y-you w-went."
