Fniff leaps behind a wine cask, then grabs as many bottles of wine as he can before it's too late.

Everyone realizes the fight has begun, and many scramble to save as much precious cargo as they can.

Tntey shoots a bottle, but in the commotion the only one who notices is Fniff, who was grabbing for it. He is sufficiently shocked, and hides behind the wine cask with the few bottles he has already grabbed.

Prophet shoots the closest person after quick-drawing, putting a bullet towards poor Kyle. Fortunatly for kyle, the bullet was far to the right, and damaged nothing but a spider web in the corner and the wall behind it. Kyle then finishes picking up a fine bottle.

Apparently content with shooting first, everyone jumps for cover or runs. Kyle makes it to the door, almost escaping with the opened bottle. Prophet and Tntey both jump behind solid-looking barrels, knocking over one of the wine racks as they do so. Some bottles roll towards Fniff, who takes the opportunity to grab a few.

Another problem I have realized is the lack of differences between weapons. A .22 zip gun made from some old piping will do the same amount of damage as a machine gun. Any ideas for how to handle different weapons?

Guns have modifiers. We should also roll smaller dice, modifiers should help get above 50?

Also, can someone quickly explain the mechanics, I am confused.

Well Lovecraft mythos are often based on misery, the more I tell you the less fun it will be.

You could talk about your ideas for a character, I guess, so the group can be balanced. At least until someone gets shot a few times.

I want to make someone who specializes in bows and knives. Impractical in some situations, but extremely quiet

If I can I want to be the scholar/mage type character of the group.

I'd like to be CQC. Shotguns and kneecap breaking all the way.

Looks like it is pretty well balanced, almost a classic party (Thief-type, Fighter-type, and Mage-type). Fniff just has to be a doctor/cleric or sniper and you guys would be pretty much the most standard party ever.
