+1 to all of these posts, and keep the eyes for gouging up the holes in your staff.

We can sew the chunk of flesh back on later if need be. Zed should go for the kill.

"No, that's actually a zombie. Kinda like you're about to be."

"No, No!"

Your zombie tries to bite out his throat, but the dwarf panics, and shoves it away,

You kick him in the groin as hard as you can, and he falls unconscious, making a sort of squealing noise.

You stab your staff into his forehead, draining his mind, killing him, and reanimating him in one go. you learn only two of the Dwarven commands for that machine of his though, "Melt down" and "Make plate" -3 Mana, +1 Zombiepower, -2 Pontification points, Learned spells.

The dwarf is currently sustained by your magic, but changing the diet of a zombie is easy as willing it.

Melt down your bronze stuff, and take the Axe as a secondary weapon.

"I don't know the dwarven WORD for 'Help', Much less the magical incantation for it. I could try to brute force it with my own magic, but that would either work, or break it beyond repair."

You melt down the rod in the dwarven extruder, filling it with liquid bronze. -1 Mana

You then equip the Axe for your secondary weapon.

Speaking of, turn the dwarf into a flesh fed zombie, as strong as the magic zombie is, I doubt it would be efficient to constantly pour magic into it.
Edit: also, see if those coins could fit in the rat skulls eye holes, you know, just in case.
