Ketsuki regarded the sign silently before slowly turning away. Unforrtunately, this turned her towards Kyle, who then talked to her.

"...and why might you think that?"

"Well, I just think his plan is a little too convient. I mean, this guy is supposed to be this smart magic dude right? Wouldn't he be smart enough to stick the rune key in a bag so he doesn't lose it? And in the unlikely case that someone did figure out how to become immortal wouldn't they defend that secret against simple stuff like single combatants and teleporting?"

"Not much here, huh? Still, I know Senija could probably use a new one so I should grab her something. How have you been, by the way? Things going better for you at all?"

"Only steel javelins? What a terrible selection." She turned toward Tomik at the question.

"Huh? Oh, I'm doin' fine. Probably will remain boyfriendless for some time-" Then a young man walked past the shop just as Laura was looking in that direction.

Laura let out a hum while the blonde moved off the sight.

"Probably best that way."

"I still have doubts anyone has discovered immortality at all. But no, I do not believe Harlan is working with the enemy. He has been with the group since they were incarcated, I believe - and there has hardly been time to conspire with the enemy."
