"I say no still. Some maniac with a weird mask we can eventually toss in a volcano if he's immortal. People that want us all dead taking over a city is much more important."

"Oh yes, I'm sure a volcano would stop a teleporting immortal. Did you forget the teleporting part?"

"I don't pretend to understand everything that's going on here, but I'm with my brother. A long shot is better than no shot at all."

"If his teleportation could work in a volcano. And are you forgetting that we're choosing between letting an army run almost unopposed and letting one random guy go? Besides, you're assuming this immortal stuff actually works."

[Sirus]

"We can't fight an entire army. That's a job for another army. Besides, I don't get how you're doubting immortality when we've seen all kinds of other bizarre crap."

"Because if someone found the secret why aren't they ruling us right now?"

Lilly reached over and took Tomik's hand for comfort. He seemed like he had been lost in thought since the defeat of the Twilight Walker, and she wondered what was going through his mind. Was he mad she had put herself in danger on a gamble?

[Swordstar]

Tomik had been thinking hard about all that had happened this time. The twilight walker, Lilly's risk and how helpless he'd felt there. Retrieving the Runic Key. The new threat...

"The twilight walker is the bigger threat. The army can be dealt with by others. We have been dealing with the walker and he clearly views us as a threat from what he was saying. Even if This other artifact does not exist, us going after it could draw him out. Once he's taken care of, we will be better able to focus on the army. We should go after him."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Right. Even if the artifact isn't there, the fact is he's been aiding Ixion from the start. Taking him out of the equation could help damage Ixion's position. Maybe if we're really lucky, they might even withdraw and go home if he's not around."

[Haspen]

"So! When we're leaving?"

[Solymr]

Harold sighed in relief, while Phineas and Nikolai discussed the details.

: We're going with Mr. Harold's plan then, so we'll be sending some soldiers too. Nikolai, how long will it take to load the airship up?

: At least the rest of the day if we hurry up so we would be sailing at night but if the moon's up and the sky is clear I won't have much of a problem with it.

: Let's do that then. The ship will be leaving at dusk, if you want to go with them you can use the rest of the day to prepare. If you need something in special I'll try to provide it.

[SeriousConcentrate]

"That's not a lot of time to prepare, but I understand the rush."

"Thanks for doing so much for us Nikolai, Phineas. We really are grateful."

Lilly squeezed Tomik's hand, then released it and stood up.

"I'm going to take a walk and clear my head. I think it'll be safe now; I might've put the fear of Bor into that masked freak but even if I didn't I don't think he's going to bother with us again any time soon if he doesn't have to."

The bard chuckled quietly to herself and headed out to the city streets. Their advanced technology certainly was interesting, and she was of a mind to see more of it before they went back to Alberal... back home. Right into the heart of Ixion's army and her own issues with her family. She wasn't exactly looking forward to either now that they were inevitable, but maybe it would be best to finally get it all over with. One way or the other, both of those things would soon be settled... and if she was still alive after dealing with the temple, she would be free of them.

With her guitar over her back and her thumbs hooked in the back of her waistband, the bard set off to explore with no real destination in mind.

"We will think about what we might want, thank you."

With that, Tomik goes off to look at the lance selection the city has

Catherine trades Lamden her full Heal for his partial one, and then goes to look for magic shops.

[Haspen]

Laura paces after Tomik to make sure he pays attention to javelin selection also.
