"Consider last few... weeks, I wouldn't notice a difference really."

She looked past Tomik and then around.

"Did she leave?"

"Did who leave?"

"Lily?"

"Oh. No. She's still here. Apparently she feels bad about what she said. Senija came over all excited. As if she expected things to be all fixed and everything. That's not how it works. I don't know where she is now. Either of them."

[Haspen]

"I see."

"So... what are we gonna do next? I didn't really pay attention to Lamden's girlfriend."

[Swordstar]

"Apparently Ixion is going to be attacking here soon. So helping defend the city I guess. Or something like that."

[Haspen]

"..."

"I'm sorry. You look all angry and I try to help but its obvious I'm not as good as when this whole situation is reversed."

[Solymr]

At the big magic shop, Catherine exchanged most of the group's money for a selection of items.

Harlan found Harold sitting on a bench near a road, watching people passing by with his backpack next to him looking about to burst. Harold waved to him when his brother walked into his line of sight.

: Hey there, big brother. Any news?

[Swordstar]

Tomik sighed quietly.

"Don't... Don't worry about me. You're trying to help and that's nice. I do appreciate it. I've just had a lot to be frustrated or angry about lately and so... Anyways. How has your day been?"

[Haspen]

"I'm doing okay."

"..."

"Can I tell you a... a little secret?"

[Swordstar]

"Of course."

[Haspen]

Laura leaned to Tomik and whispered her secret.

"And that's why I'm so angry at all of you and this whole situation. I mostly got over it but... I thought you should know."

[Swordstar]

"I... I'm so sorry. I can't imagine... I know that nothing I can do will really make up for that, but if there is ever anything I can do to start to help... Please let me know. Regardless of the circumstances, I am glad that we know you now but... That doesn't make what happened ok."

[Haspen]

"Well if I am to be poetic or something I guess that time helps better in such situation... I guess."

She stared at Tomik for a while.

"Sorry if I sound harsh, but when we are done with our quest I'm gonna ditch you all and go to the other side of continent and settle down in remote village and live my life doing knitting for my kids and making a dinner for my husband. If I get one that won't constantly try to shove hands down my pants. And I don't intend to return to my homeland of Ixion. And hopefully before I kill more than hundred of my kin. And I sincerely hope to never, ever see any of you again."

"Sorry for ranting... but all things considered I don't get lots of occassions where I can talk sincerely with you."

[Swordstar]

Tomik shrugged.

"Seeing as my current plans involve me living back in the highlands with only Modra and maybe Senija for company, I can't really judge you. Senija will probably insist on following me, though she'd probably be happier if she didn't. But I can completely understand why you'd want nothing to do with us after all of this. So no need to apologize. I'd rather you told me the truth after all."
