Apology accepted, this game looked like it was going to be fun and I wouldn't mind continuing it with the M-W-F updates but don't continue it if you can't. I can relate to the same thing though I have the problem of making too many games as well and got called out on it by another forumite so I know where you are coming from with only wanting to run a set amount of games at once

As much as I like this game idea, there's no use spreading yourself thin, but I think I told you that already  ;). Sorry for my rather harsh language earlier, but my only wish was to know what was going on exactly, since I remember all the games you used to do and how well they ran.

I am getting on with other games so I am in no desperate need. Running one game at a time, unless its a small game is more than sensible approach for anyone.

Zakharov double-checks his machine rifle, then tosses another one to you.  "If you run out of ammo, use this," he says.  "We're expecting-"

A stray shredder round pounds into the wall behind you.  The pair of you pull back behind cover as half a dozen black-suited security guards (all with torn uniform on their right shoulder, revealing their hexagon-with-downward-arrow tattoos) pull around the corner, shredder pistols in hand.

[3+2 vs 5+1, 6+2 vs 2+3 (6)]  Zakharov opens up with machine rifle fire upon the guard squad, but his untrained hand results in the spray failing to hit a single one of them.  He has to duck out of cover to make the shot, and he receives a shredder pistol to the shoulder for his efforts.  Zakharov goes down, although mercifully he falls behind cover.

You have two shredder pistols.  You fire blindly around the corner with both of them.  [3+2 vs 4+1, 2+2 vs 6+3]  One of the security guards get a shredder bolt to the leg and goes down, although he still keeps firing.  The guards pull to either side of the corridor as they advance.

You set both shredders to fully automatic and duck out of cover to spray.  [5+3 vs 6+1 (11), 2+2 vs 5+2] A row of red blossoms streams across two of the guards as their torsos crumple under shredder fire.  You mercifully avoid their retorts.  [5+3 vs 6+1 (12), 6+1 vs 3+2 (1)] Your second spray empties out both shredders, but another pair of security guards go down in a bloody mess.  A shredder bolt licks past your thigh, taking a small chunk of it as it goes.

The remaining soldier grabs hold of his wounded friend and fires his pistol at you for cover as they beat a retreat.  You heft up the machine rifle to give them a little something to remember you by.  [5+2 vs 6+1 (6), 4+1 vs 6+1]  You gun down the standing soldier and the lone survivor hurls his gun across the floor and raises his hands in surrender.

You're bleeding freely from your leg, Zakharov's shoulder is a mess and he's unconscious and you have a prisoner and a hallway full of corpses.  It's a good day (inasmuch as you are still alive).

You are at 5/6 hp.

Peter

[1+1 vs 4]  You try to interrogate the hostage, but you fail to get much out of her.  "We are the Spartan Federation," she says.  "My name is Julia Fernandez, serial number 420-602-421."  She repeats this any time you try to ask her a question, a standard anti-interrogation technique for trained soldiers.

You have been at this for a good five minutes when a woman in her twenties arrives in Medbay in the dark green of an ecology officer.

Armage

Moving away from the sound of concentrated shredder fire, you make it to the Medbay, which is currently full of a mixture of engineering officers in various states of dismay and various corpses.  Trussed up against one wall and being ineffectually interrogated by a man in blue med-tech uniform is a woman in black security uniform, barring her right shoulder where the fabric has been torn to reveal a distinctive tattoo of a downward arrow in a hexagon.

Before you can grasp the situation, a message flicks up on your datapad.

Soldiers heading to medbay.  Repeat, armed force headed to medbay!  - Skye

Nicolas

[6 vs 3+1, (1)] You stalk through the array of cryopods until you reach your target, busy with his lunch.  You get behind him and lurch upwards, placing your hands around his windpipe and dragging him down.  [1+1 v 3, 6+1 vs 3+1 (3)] He struggles with you and manages to break your grip, but before he can cry out you grab the shredder pistol from his belt and put a round through his throat.  He starts gurgling, so you finish him off with a round to the head.  You thank the designers of the shredder for its near-silent mode of operation.

You're still naked, but you have a shredder pistol with a good 10 rounds left (spray mode uses 6 rounds apiece).  You raise your head slightly above pod level and study.  Six soldiers left.  Two guarding the door, two on patrol as a pair, and two more just standing guard individually as watchmen.  There are only two exits, one out the main hatch and one to what you recall are a set of ancillary storage rooms.

As you consider your plans, the bay doors open and a distinctly latin woman enters, flanked by a pair of thickset security guards.  Everyone on deck immediately straightens and salutes.  "Colonel," saya one of the men on door duty.  The woman irritably waves a hand and the salutes fall.  You recognise her from security briefings.  Security Chief Corazon Santiago, XO Yang's second in command.

The woman has nothing spare to her.  Every muscle, every gesture, every glance from her is calculated, stern, held in control.  She reminds you of a cat, held permanently in readiness to pounce.  She addresses her men.

"Zakharov has unlocked the armoury and is trying to take control of it again.  I have a squad working on it.  You, you and you, with me.  We're taking medbay."

At her command the patrolling pair and one of the watchmen leave their posts to join Santiago.  She immediately departs, leaving only the two door guards and a single patrolling guard in the module with you.

Peter tells one of the not injured people near him to keep an eye on the prisoner, he then walks up to the ecology officer and asks her, ¨Who are you?¨

((Thanks for continueing the game but if you feel over loaded I won't be insulted if you stop posting here for a bit as long as you give some kind of warning))

Hal looks around for any sort of first-aid kit. Whether he finds one or not, he tries to stop the bleeding. He makes sure to keep the prisoner within view most of the time.

Nicolas looks for an opportunity to leave via storage rooms - three was still to much of an odds against him, and he needed to get to the Captain or whoever was not yet dead that could get a handle on the situation.  So far, security was staging a coup and it might have been to late for Captain Garland, yet Nicolas was yet to find out the truth.

Science officer was in the armory, whereas Santiago is after the medbay. He had to avoid both and make it to the bridge.

[6] The good news is that there is an easily available medkit point nearby.  The bad news is that it isn't a first aid kit.  Apparently it's a synthflesh distribution unit.  You have no idea how to use this.  [4]  You try applying it to Zakharov, to staunch the bleeding if nothing else.  It seems to dispense a small stream of 'flesh' which hardens into a sealant as you spread it, so you move it in concentric circles around the wound until the flow of blood stops.  The deeper injuries will have to be looked at by someone with training.

The prisoner has passed out, but at least his own flow of blood seems to have stopped through muscular action.

Peter

Before the officer can answer, you hear the thunk-thunk-thunk of shredder fire against bulkheads.  The medical technicians take cover, but it seems to be coming from further down the corridor.

Nicolas

You sneak through to the storage rooms, and two bulkheads in you come face to face with a man as equally naked as you, also holding a shredder pistol.  There is an instant of a standoff, with both pointing guns at the other, then the man glances at your right shoulder and lowers his weapon.  Upon recognising him, you do the same.

Dr Yang, so far as you are aware, is in his mid sixties.  He might as well be in his early forties, were it not for the wrinkles around his eyes.  As with Santiago there is nothing spare about this man, but unlike Santiago's held discipline, Yang's posture and movements are those of a man who moves nothing unless he desires it to be moved.  His form is completely relaxed, his movements graceful and calculated.  This is a man in complete control.  There is also very light blood spray across his torso and neck.

"van Tonder, yes?" asks Yang.  "Good.  I'm glad to see you aren't sharing the same tattoo as certain other security members.  If I may?"  He nods to a rack nearby, then goes to it and tosses you a black uniform and claims one for himself, wiping the blood from his neck as he does so.

"Security Chief Santiago is holding a mutiny, as I'm sure you have determined.  We must alert the captain to the particulars.  How many soldiers in the room beyond?"  You tell him.  "Very well.  I will provide a distraction by obviously neutralising the lookout. You take out the door guards.  Get into a good position and wait for my signal."

Peter asks anyone with military/guard training to get the armed people ready for a fight and assists everyone else in boarding up the entrance/ putting up and tables or whatever as cover while getting the injured to a safe/out of the way place in the room.

Armage glances down to her datapad again.

"Soldiers coming, I'm getting out," she announced to the room a moment later.

With that, it was a quick glance out the door to make sure it wasn't too late, followed by either ducking back inside or dashing away from the thunking noises, as the situation warranted.

Nicolas eyes Yang suspiciously for a moment before nodding and taking the position as he ordered.  Nicolas still knew next to nothing about the mutineers' motives but disunity the ship, which carried humanity's last chance of survival was unthinkable to him. Not to others however.

Hal calls for urgent medical assistance and backup at the armory and looks around for possible assistance from passing technicians.

Armage

You duck your head out of the medbay to see half a dozen black-suited mutineers led by a rather harsh-looking woman advancing on medbay, shooting down armed technicians in their way.  An engineering tech manages to shoot one of the mutineers in the leg and is promptly obliterated for his efforts.  You pull back out and duck behind the cover hastily being erected by the medical technicians.  Nearby you can see a discarded shredder pistol, probably from one of the captured mutineers.

Peter

You start erecting cover, pulling as many non-critical patients to safety as you can while the other medtechs take care of them.  You try to get the engineers ready to fight, but Lal calls out.

"Belay that order," he said.  "Place your weapons on the ground and hold up your hands.  We are to surrender, but not to aid the mutineers until help comes.  Understood?"

Lal checks something on his datalink, then taps something into it.  A moment later, you feel a slight buzzing at your hip as your datapad receives a message.

Hold.  Something's about to happen.

At this moment, half a dozen black suited men and women arrive, guns pointed at everyone and holding one injured member of their party.  As per Lal's command, everyone raises their hands.

"We are not going to fight you," says Lal.

"Good," says the woman.  She points to you, pretty much at random.  "You.  Fix this man's leg or you're a dead man."

One of the mutineers shoves the man at you.  He's pretty seriously injured.

Hal

You try and send a call over the datalink, but you get a response stating: Hostiles in medbay.  Medtechs on bridge, bring here. - Garland

You look up to see a pair of black-uniformed men approach the armoury and stare down at the bodies.  Unlike the dead, they are not bearing the tattoos of the mutineers.

Nicolas

You get into position behind a cryopod and wait.  You don't wait long before the lookout's head explodes.  Both sentries flip their guns to 'spray' and fire at Yang's position.  [3+2 v 1 (5)] You fire at one of the sentries, getting him in the gut.  He goes down.  [2+1 v 4+1, 4+1 v 1+2 (1)] You try and take down the other sentry, but return shredder fire lances through your shoulder, piercing it cleanly without spread.  A second shot from Yang's position tears out the sentry's neck.

You approach the door with Yang, who spots the groaning first sentry on the floor and executes him with another shredder shot.  He takes a datalink band from one of the dead mutineers and presses it to the door - it opens.

"We're heading to the bridge," Yang informs you.  "Garland needs to know what's going on and we can't trust comms.  Take their ammunition in case."

You pick up a couple of extra magazines of shredder ammo and head out.  A few corridors towards the bridge you pass the armoury, the corridor before which is splattered with blood, gore and spent shredder fire, as well as just short of a dozen bodies.  A grey-suited tech is knelt over what appears to be the Chief Scientific Officer and an unconscious or possibly dead mutineer.  He has a pair of shredders and what appears to be a machine rifle on him.  He has noticed you.

Peter lays the man down gently on the nearest stretcher or safe spot. He then gets a couple medical people to help him with the injury. Peter acts as nurse for medical guys that are patching him up
He also makes as little eye contact with the black suited people as possible and does not speak to them unless absolutly needed.

Armage didn't like this one bit, but kept that to herself outside her perpetual scowl. Hopefully the thugs would be out of the way soon.

Wait for meatheads to do whatever they came to do and then hopefully leave.
