Zakharov double-checks his machine rifle, then tosses another one to you. "If you run out of ammo, use this," he says. "We're expecting-"
A stray shredder round pounds into the wall behind you. The pair of you pull back behind cover as half a dozen black-suited security guards (all with torn uniform on their right shoulder, revealing their hexagon-with-downward-arrow tattoos) pull around the corner, shredder pistols in hand.
[3+2 vs 5+1, 6+2 vs 2+3 (6)] Zakharov opens up with machine rifle fire upon the guard squad, but his untrained hand results in the spray failing to hit a single one of them. He has to duck out of cover to make the shot, and he receives a shredder pistol to the shoulder for his efforts. Zakharov goes down, although mercifully he falls behind cover.
You have two shredder pistols. You fire blindly around the corner with both of them. [3+2 vs 4+1, 2+2 vs 6+3] One of the security guards get a shredder bolt to the leg and goes down, although he still keeps firing. The guards pull to either side of the corridor as they advance.
You set both shredders to fully automatic and duck out of cover to spray. [5+3 vs 6+1 (11), 2+2 vs 5+2] A row of red blossoms streams across two of the guards as their torsos crumple under shredder fire. You mercifully avoid their retorts. [5+3 vs 6+1 (12), 6+1 vs 3+2 (1)] Your second spray empties out both shredders, but another pair of security guards go down in a bloody mess. A shredder bolt licks past your thigh, taking a small chunk of it as it goes.
The remaining soldier grabs hold of his wounded friend and fires his pistol at you for cover as they beat a retreat. You heft up the machine rifle to give them a little something to remember you by. [5+2 vs 6+1 (6), 4+1 vs 6+1] You gun down the standing soldier and the lone survivor hurls his gun across the floor and raises his hands in surrender.
You're bleeding freely from your leg, Zakharov's shoulder is a mess and he's unconscious and you have a prisoner and a hallway full of corpses. It's a good day (inasmuch as you are still alive).
You are at 5/6 hp.

[1+1 vs 4] You try to interrogate the hostage, but you fail to get much out of her. "We are the Spartan Federation," she says. "My name is Julia Fernandez, serial number 420-602-421." She repeats this any time you try to ask her a question, a standard anti-interrogation technique for trained soldiers.
You have been at this for a good five minutes when a woman in her twenties arrives in Medbay in the dark green of an ecology officer.
Armage
Moving away from the sound of concentrated shredder fire, you make it to the Medbay, which is currently full of a mixture of engineering officers in various states of dismay and various corpses. Trussed up against one wall and being ineffectually interrogated by a man in blue med-tech uniform is a woman in black security uniform, barring her right shoulder where the fabric has been torn to reveal a distinctive tattoo of a downward arrow in a hexagon.
Before you can grasp the situation, a message flicks up on your datapad.
Soldiers heading to medbay. Repeat, armed force headed to medbay! - Skye

[6 vs 3+1, (1)] You stalk through the array of cryopods until you reach your target, busy with his lunch. You get behind him and lurch upwards, placing your hands around his windpipe and dragging him down. [1+1 v 3, 6+1 vs 3+1 (3)] He struggles with you and manages to break your grip, but before he can cry out you grab the shredder pistol from his belt and put a round through his throat. He starts gurgling, so you finish him off with a round to the head. You thank the designers of the shredder for its near-silent mode of operation.
You're still naked, but you have a shredder pistol with a good 10 rounds left (spray mode uses 6 rounds apiece). You raise your head slightly above pod level and study. Six soldiers left. Two guarding the door, two on patrol as a pair, and two more just standing guard individually as watchmen. There are only two exits, one out the main hatch and one to what you recall are a set of ancillary storage rooms.
As you consider your plans, the bay doors open and a distinctly latin woman enters, flanked by a pair of thickset security guards. Everyone on deck immediately straightens and salutes. "Colonel," saya one of the men on door duty. The woman irritably waves a hand and the salutes fall. You recognise her from security briefings. Security Chief Corazon Santiago, XO Yang's second in command.
The woman has nothing spare to her. Every muscle, every gesture, every glance from her is calculated, stern, held in control. She reminds you of a cat, held permanently in readiness to pounce. She addresses her men.
"Zakharov has unlocked the armoury and is trying to take control of it again. I have a squad working on it. You, you and you, with me. We're taking medbay."
At her command the patrolling pair and one of the watchmen leave their posts to join Santiago. She immediately departs, leaving only the two door guards and a single patrolling guard in the module with you.
