Well, good, but damn it. I had hoped to teach her a little first.

Yeah... I can't blame ya for that. Thing is that she might not even have the aptitude for binding [which I have yet to decide. Odds are yes. LIke 95% likely.]

I'm interested in how the barracks commander will react to the note.

On the one hand, the way they came by it is by no means legitimate or trustworthy

On the other hand, he probably doesn't have any ranks in Forgery.

On the third hand, he might be friends with the thieve's guild.

Not really? The first one is basically them just dismissing it, was my point, since they have no real reason to believe a note attached to a rock.

You aren't part of the thieve's guild(yet) and if Nerjin's running it how I think he might be, trying to pretend you are will result in !!FUN!! from them.

And still not sure how screwing over the innkeeper helps you.

I'm in for a fun ride.

I have a new appreciation for both my will save and the fact that I am immune to Mind-affecting effects.

Note to self: take caution when using mind control on the mentally unstable.

Damnit Immaterial...

Too much fourth-wall breaking there, man.

Besides which, it doesn't even make sense why you would be immune to them. It really doesn't.

I disagree.
"Remember, you've got one spell that you can hit me with."
If we've been working together for years, I think it is reasonable to be able to know that only Ray of Frost can hit me.
"Or did you forget that I'm immune to mind-affecting spells?"
There isn't a good or even official reason why intelligent undead are immune to mind-affecting, but the consensus on the internet seems to be two fold: their minds work totally differently from those of living creatures and controlling undead is the realm of Necromancy, not Illusion.

You don't know exactly how much weaker she was made by the ordeal, and I find it more than probable that some of her higher level spells could affect Bill.

My point was about the mind-affecting bit, though. Especially for Necropolitans, though. Since they retain memories of life and all that. But mostly you phrased it really technically. "immune to mind-affecting spells" is pretty much quoting the rulebook. So you can see why I'm sketchy.

In all honesty, I don't think most corporeal intelligent undead should be immune to mind-affecting.

Think they should be damned hard to do anything to, since Vampires are vampires and Ghouls are trying to eat you, but the ones that aren't utterly insane should be technically affectable. Though actually managing it is a different story.

Also, damn, Bill's really got a hard-on for Wee Jas. Is Wee Jas really that strict and shit about other gods and people worshipping them and 'pronounce my name wrong and you DIE' stuff?

Our collective [Contacts/Friends] sections kinda imply I've been like that before.

This is true.

@undead: I kinda quoted the "mind-affecting" bit, too, but technicalities aside, rules are rules.
