Annette takes this opportunity to point out the obvious, as otherwise she felt they would be standing here all day. "Ranger girl, you're the only one that hasn't voted on a way to go after Guala City. Seems that you get to decide."

She takes another look at her Pokéballs. They aren't exactly what she's used to using, and she really would prefer to use what she likes... So, to the Professor she says,
"Do you have any nets?"

Jonathan turns to Anette with a mix of confusion and surprise.
"...Nets?"

[Lyeos]

What does Jonathan mean by asking such a silly question as that? Everyone knows you trap Pokémon with nets before catching them! Well, or glue cannons, but her father never allowed her to handle those for some reason. Something about being bad with technology? Anyways, Anette responds to Jonathan's question whilst giving him one of those looks that heavily implies he's some sort of loon.
"Yes, nets. You know, the things you use before Pokéballs."

Jonathan, not entirely sure how to react, responds with, "I...Alright, then."

Kira was equally confused. Her first reaction was anger and to glare, but before she could open her mouth she thought better of it. She might have seen a few Bug Catchers around town carrying nets in order to help capture new bugs for their collection. Nets weren't too horribly uncommon among fishing circles either. They were crude, but they were just capture implements. They weren't that crazy... Were they? She was flustered and wanting to avoid the topic.

"I-... I don't know. Do we need to decide now? Once we reach Guala Town, our views might shift a little bit... Can't we wait till then to decide?" She started fiddling with her hair and took a look. "Besides... Kyle, you seem like you haven't been down to the plains before... It might be worth the trip to see some new Pokémon. And if anything goes wrong, we won't too far away from a town we know."

[Tawa]

"Do you have any nets?"

"Nets? I don't think I do, you'll have to ask Team Rocket. Wa ha ha!"

After Acacia finishes laughing at his attempted joke on Team Rocket's... controversial... methods of catching Pokémon until they were disbanded, he continues.

"No, I don't have any. Unless... one second." He heads into a back room and returns with a few wadded-up nets. He tosses them to Annette. She examines them and counts 4.

Kira gave the professor one of her trademark dirty glares and cocked her eye in a confused manner.

"Professor Acacia... Why exactly do you have nets?"

[Lyeos]

Nets? Excellent! These would certainly be put to good use subduing Pokémon for capture! Anette gives the Professor a grateful nod, "Much thanks, Prof." before straightening them out as best she can and stuffing them, very poorly, into her pockets.

"Well, what happens when one of his pokemon get rowdy and escape? Would you like to deal with something rampaging around the town?"

[Tawa]

"Professor Acacia... Why exactly do you have nets?"

"To put it simply, weaving used to be a hobby of mine."

He shows no traces of lying, if that's what you're thinking.

"Kira, you really don't watch some of us, do you? Many people keep their pokemon out of their pokeballs. I only ever keep Grond in its ball when I need to get him somewhere. He's over 100lbs, and I don't know about you, but that's pretty heavy for me to lift a good distance.

And nets seem a little... Excessive... But I guess since I actually never caught a wild pokemon outside of town, I wouldn't know.

Just wondering, Professor... How deep is that water? As you know, Grond can't really swim..."

[Tawa]

"Oh, not that deep. It's usually just soggy ground, but there is the occasional little pond a foot or so deep... You'll be fine."

"I don't know that I've ever actually put Shub in a pokeball before, except when I captured him to make it official, and perhaps when his pranks get a little too dangerous."

[birdy51]

Kira could only stare dumbly at Kyle.

"...Why don't you think about that statement for a bit more time, yes?"

She then turned the Professor, her eyebrows lifting curiously on her forehead.

"R-really? You don't strike me as the weaving type..."

Finally, she turned to Bjorn and Matthew.

"Yeah... I get that. But... He won't always be so small. And you won't just only have him. Eventually, you might have to let him back into his Pokeball."
