Jonathan takes advantage of Anette's momentary distraction, and wipes his hand on the nearest table.

Kyle is juggling his pokeballs.

Bjorn takes the pokeballs and throws them into his bag. He then tries to work the pokedex to see what it says about Grond and the other pokemon the others have. Hopefully, it isn't too hard to figure out on your own.

"Thank you professor. We'll put them to good use."

[Lyeos]

Anette takes the last ball and puts it with the others, greed flashing across her face as her eye passes over the ball.
"Thanks, Prof. Dad suggested a Treecko, so I appreciate you going out of your way to get one."

((Almost done.))

"So how do you know the professor, Patch?"

[Lyeos]

"My father helped him acquire some Pokémon or something once. Or maybe we came for information? I don't recall," says Anette, softly scratching below her left ear. "I do live here, you know. I just used to travel a lot."

"My mom travels a lot. She does financial transfers, whatever that means."

"My mom takes me with her to contests in other towns sometimes. My dad's always at the factory, and I've visited him a few times, but I'm never there for long and they're only a town or two over. Plus, my mom's Fearow gets her everywhere she needs to go."

Kira picked up her things with some trepidation. The Pokeballs went straight into her travel pack, without very little consideration whether she would need them or not. One Pokémon was enough for now. She didn't need another Pokémon yet. Just Birch was already a handful. The Pokedex however was another matter. Placing Birch's Pokeball on the table close beside her, she began to fiddle with the device, her fingers slowly pressing buttons at random.

Her eyes gazed at the little device intensely and she squinted here and there at the various different parts of the many menus and screens. Suddenly the screen went dark and she began to panic. She had reached a startling conclusion. She had absolutely no clue on how to use a Pokedex.

"Let me give you an hand with that."

Bjorn gives Kira a hand with figuring out the pokedex, opening up to a page with starly by chance since it's the only pokemon registered on her pokedex since it's the only one she owns. He shows her how to register a new pokemon using Grond as an example. Boy was he glad his mom showed him how to use it beforehand

Kira was embarrassed, but she accepted the help without fuss.

"I see... So that's how it works."

Kyle quickly goes and identifies the pokemon that are currently out after putting away his balls.

"By the way Professor, is there anything we should look out for you while we're traveling?"

Going off of Bjorn's example, attempting to mask his own ineptitude, Jonathan quickly registers everybody's pokemon.

"By the way Professor, is there anything we should look out for you while we're traveling?"

"Not really, but thank you for the offer."
