KILL THE ASSHAT GOVERNOR AND MAYBE THE GENERAL IF POSSIBLE, AFTER STUNNING THE MAGES WITH SOMETHING

Safe to say that the mages know more magic than us..we should probably evade them and see if we can get a fire ball or some other splash damage magic spell trown at the governor. With him him dead no matter who wins or looses chaos and uncertainty will prevail and help us stay hidden.

By the way if these mages some how use magic to blow our spells than we should probably try not to waste our mana/time.

You guys probably aren't going to like this, but:

"Ah.  Well, I was just leaving anyway."  Flee!  But take out the governor and his wife with ranged magic as a parting gift.

KILL THE ASSHAT GOVERNOR AND MAYBE THE GENERAL IF POSSIBLE, AFTER STUNNING THE MAGES WITH SOMETHING

Safe to say that the mages know more magic than us..we should probably evade them and see if we can get a fire ball or some other splash damage magic spell thrown at the governor. With him him dead no matter who wins or looses chaos and uncertainty will prevail and help us stay hidden.

By the way if these mages some how use magic to blow our spells than we should probably try not to waste our mana/time.

You stop in your tracks and stand up tall. No use trying to sneak now.

"Ah! You found me...... Well, i was just trying to get a better look at the battlefield from this angle. But it seems my spot ahs already been taken. I'll be going now...." You say, as you turn to towards the governors residence's wall, quickly trying to see if you could scale it in any reasonable time.

The woman to your front right move to block you as the one on your left speaks. "You will not get away. The commander demands it."

As she finishes speaking, you sense the man behind you start towards you as well. Thinking quickly, you unleash two fireballs, a fire wind and a colour spray towards the mages. All three manage to get their defenses up, however they are forced to stop and they also seem to be temporarily blinded by your stun spell.

However, you realise that will not be a condition that lasts long, especially on mages.

Calling upon an Ice Bastion spell, you cover your approach to the governors wall from all sides and above, preventing any immediate attacks. You find that the Governors wall is mostly smooth and polished granite, however there are some hand holds that should allow you to get up the wall, which in turn should allow you to approach the governors house and then his balcony on the fifth floor.

As you start climbing like a spider on drugs, the mages crack your Ice Bastion spell, and you can hear them chanting for another spell. They then shatter your defenses when you are only half way of the wall. You struggle to increase your pace as they take aim with their magic.

You manage to reach the top when a fireball impacts your lower back, followed by an ice lance to your left shoulder almost where your previous wound was and a earth bludgeon to your right thigh. The fireball dissipates on your magic cloak, however it does leave a superficial scorch mark, which you could get rid of with magic if you wanted.

The ice lance and earth bludgeon do more damage. The ice attack does not pierce your armour, however it does dislocate your shoulder again with its force. The bludgeoning attack snaps one of the metal splits protecting your thighs, and impacts hard against your leg. Whilst your leg does not break, it goes numb almost completely and becomes dead weight.

You manage to retain your balance, somehow, much to the annoyance of the mages below, you you notice are looking at you with frowns and irritation. You smile, and start climbing, slowly, down the other side of the wall. At least you would, if you hadn't fallen when you tried, mostly thanks to your duff leg.

You land with a thud at the bottom of the wall. Fortunately, nothing if broken, and your equipment is fine. With a sigh of relief, you grit your teeth as you re-locate your shoulder - again - and mutter some healing spells that repair the damage to your leg. Hoping the mages are far behind you, even though you know they probably wont give up that easily, you look for a way to attack the governor.

You notice that the governor is leaning over the balcony edge, looking right at you. It seems your fight with the mages drew his attention. With no time to waste, you charge a destruction spell, one which will annihilate the balcony and everyone on it. The governor's expression turns to horror as he seems to know what you are doing. This pleases you.

You launch the spell, which hurtles towards it target, a large orb of reddish-orange light. It hits the balcony right on target, and explodes with an earth shattering kaboom. You realise that you may have put a tad too much power into it, as you blew a hole about two dozen feet wide in the face of the mansion.

You hear further sounds from inside the mansion, as the entire sixth floor and the roof collapses into the fifth floor. The entire central third of the mansions facade, which was the area effected by the explosion, collapses, exposing the mansions insides. You manage to dodge out of the way of falling granite masonry and get to safety a little further away. You cannot see the governor nor his family.

The sounds of battle from the plaza seem to die down, only to come back with a vengeance as both sides try to fight harder than before, both sides desperate.

You turn your mind back to getting away before you draw any more attention to yourself. You are tired, both physically and mentally, as you have been going none stop all day.

Unfortunately, fate does not bless you this day, as the three mages, plus now the General and his retinue arrive. The horsemen, full of obvious fury, charge you, metal armour clanking, battle cries emanating from their mouth guards.

You react by trying to cast a firewall spell. You get one going, however it is not as fierce as you hoped it would be. Doing a quick internal analysis, you realise that your energy reserves are running low. 'That would explain my tiredness and fatigue.... You think to yourself.

Thankfully, you realise only half of his retinue is here. You surmise that these men must be officers of high rank, which probably means the rest are out commanding the troops. This works to your advantage. Using a basic materialise spell, you create a set of bolas.

With a short prayer to your gods, you throw bola after bola towards the cavalry just before they reach the firewall. Only two of the six thrown bolas hit, causing the men on top to fly forward as the horse trips and falls. Both men fly into the firewall, and start getting cooked alive. Their screams unsettle the other horses, however the men on them dont seem the least bit perturbed.

The remaining cavalry dismount, with the general accompanying them. The male mage tries to flank you by going to your right, and the two women go around to your left. You are trapped, stuck between the ruin of the governors mansion to your rear, and the enemy in front of you.

You are tired, and your magic reserves are low, mostly used up by the overpowered destruction spell.

Attempt to run away and call for help from the warriors. "Help help the gaurd general is after me!".

Hopefully when new warriors come to our aid we can smash through and hide inside a abandoned building.

Who doesn't want to kill a general and is personal escort of officers?

See if we can't use the obligatory High Elven psionic abilities, or perhaps a magical spell, to draw strength from one of the less attentive mages. If this works, use received power to make a rapid escape!

Alternatively, or possibly even if the previous plan works, make a run for the governor's mansion - the confined corridors will come in handy against a detachment of warriors, or at least make escape simpler. Worst case scenario, we waste a bit of the commander's time and help the pre-emptive resistance warriors make their escape!

Challenge one to a Dulaleka Nosefa! Explain that it is a duel of swordsmanship between you and the commander. If you lose, the commander is granted your soul, which means he gets all your mad skills. At this point, we point out that we killed five guards at once. If the general loses, than his second calls off the city guard and orders them to surrender. Make some fancy  speech about " the vengance on the elves who break this duel" and "by blood, by blade, and by warriors's strength, so mote it be!

+1, actually! It's an agreeable solution for everyone. Agree that magic is not permitted to be used in the duel, and that no outside help is likewise permitted. Heck, if this commander has earned three whole mage-slaves, kicking our ass and adding us to the fold should be a snap. Leave off the surrender part, though. Just say that you get his helmet and/or weapon of choice if he loses and you and the pre-emptive resistance people (if they wish it) are permitted to flee unimpeded so that you may fight another day. Let's not push our luck.

And if he doesn't agree to this deal, compliment him on his cleverness and pledge service to the man, since we really have no reason to fight on the side of the pre-emptive resistance people beyond "a child was in danger" or "the governor looked like an asshole". For all we know, those people framed you for the guard captain's death in the first place.

If we win we get coin ((military people usually have a coin from there service days, tradition thing.)) and if we lose we'll cease resisting him and his guards.

((You are female. But that is fairly similar to the design style i was going for, for this elf anyway. Not completely however.

If i didnt absolutely suck at drawing, i'd draw the main character.

Update will most likely be tomorrow. Some things came up today and yesterday that have delayed me, such as the volunteering job i'm doing for some money.))
