Ketsuki nodded in thanks.
"You mentioned the Frosteaters, didn't you? We stayed among them a few years back. I vaguely remember you, I think, but we never talked."

Anthony nods.
"Aye, that was probably around the time I was studying with the magi."

"I was never one for books and studying. I know a few runes, but I dislike using them."
Reminded, she checks the bite on her thumb. Any trickle of blood had stopped, and she put it from her mind again.

 Gunnar has stood in silence through this, but he now speaks, looking at Anthony.
 ’Can you sew wounds, boy?’ He lays a hand upon his elbow, drawing attention to his wounds, which despite its depth appears to have long since stopped bleeding.
 Ketsuki looks at his weapons - a pair of waraxes, made from the same black metal as his armour - even to the shaft. Both appear to have been made by an amateur, and are scaled up to the warrior’s size. The tube was in the section of the building that collapsed.

"Because I am hers. Her protector, her swordswoman. She needs me."

"Sounds neat. She wise and knowin', perhaps?"

"She knew near everything, it seemed, except perhaps how to keep herself out of danger." At this, she gave a small smile, almost unwillingly.
She span the axes in her hands before planting them in the wall with a pair of heavy blows.

"'Course sir. What kind of healer doesn't know?"

 ’The kind that only use magic.’ He looks around at Ketsuki, whilst proffering his arm to Anthony.
 ’Be careful with those, girl. They’re older than you are.’ He turns back to Anthony. ’Just stitches. Nothing else.’

Anthony nods before getting to work with his healing bag.

"And yer lookin' fer 'er, I assume?"

 Gunnar’s flesh is tough and grey, but when pierced by a needle it does not bleed. The veins themselves stand out clearly in the torn flesh as if stained, dots of black amongst the grey. The blood coming from them barely spreads from their severed ends, and seems almost congealed. As Kyle is at his ministrations, Gunnar speaks once more.
 ’Now, I would ask you one thing. Which of you poisoned me?’ His voice seems surprisingly gentle given the accusation.

"Not me, unless you're allergic to a bit of darkness."

((He might well be, at least to this particular kind of darkness, I have an idea of what's going on...))

"If there are any splinters in you from that chair, they might get bad after a couple of days. But unless it was made from some special kind of tree, it shouldn't be doing anything to you right now."
