Ketsuki retrieved the crude axes before she went and stood in front of the remaining attacker. Her gaze was intense.
"What are you, Gunnar? You resemble an ogre, but the Mira claimed you not. You are a mystery, and I have too many things unknown as it is. Are you cursed by some vile mage?"

Gunnar drew up to his full height before her.
’That could be said.’ A sad smile touches at his face, distorted somewhat by his savage features.
’But no, I am no ogre, nor am I not one. I am old, and cynical, and slow to trust. I have seen things that should not be returned from, and I will not recite them to a girl who has not earned my respect.’ He sneers down at her.
’Ask your Saint, if you find her.’ The word Saint sounds like a curse from between his lips. ’She will tell you the horror I am. But if you would have my help finding her, do not question me. Perhaps I will tell you in time. Perhaps.’

My dreams are not unlike yours - they long for the safety, and break like a glass chandelier.
But there's laughter and oh there is love, just past the edge of our fears.
And there's chaos when push comes to shove, but it's music to my ears.

Ketsuki nodded, though internally she growled at the disrespect to the Saint's name more than the sneering at her. She arrested the imperceptible creep of her hands to her weapons. "Then I shall ask only of my mistress. What know you of Sarrina Thulani?"

’I know that she is trying to save me.’ This time, it is the word save that drips with venom. ’And that I don’t want to be saved.’
’So if you’d find your mistress, then I know where to look.’

"Where?" The word is steel holding back a terrible longing.

’Vardus. Capital of the Varden. And if she isn’t, then she will be soon. But if you go, I’m going with you. As to the rest of you - I can make it worth your while to come too.’
 He pauses, facing the group.
’And if my poisoner won’t admit it, then I’ll let it slide. Just bear in mind that if you try to poison me again, I won’t show the same courtesy.’

"Eh, I don't see why not. There aren't many opportunities around here anyway."

"Then come. And may the Earth swallow all in my way."

She nodded to the others.
"I thank you others. Let us now depart."

Wasting time only to grab some goat meat and drink, storing it in her pack, she left the broken building, her breath pluming in the air, biting cold.

Head towards Vardus.

"Are you sure? We could wait until dawn and better weather before setting off, don't you think?"

Ketsuki hesitated, torn between her need to travel towards the Saint, find the one she'd been searching for, and the sensible words.

"Since the dwarf is not here, he probably won't mind if we borrow a few rooms for the night, and the food was free either way."

Eat, drink and rest for the night, until dawn. ((Action may be subject to change.))

Do so as well. ((With equal changeability depending on circumstances.))
