It's only cruelty if you make the animal suffer the animals rights laws define it as that for animals bred for food. Keeping them in conditions that cause suffering or killing them in and inhumane manner is cruelty.

Killing them in a humane manner is not classed as animal cruelty.

Well i have a plan for getting my delicious meatsteaks in an efficient and less destructive manner.

It involves not killing a 300kg wild boar for a measly 2kg haunch item drop.

And yeah pewds, stealing dinosaur eggs for epic mounts.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

You know what grinding up and not playing with everyone else in the forum game looks like? Hundreds of invisible rolls with little or any narration whatsoever, before a powerful character suddenly reappears in the story to start recruiting NPCs.

I was considering killing virtual elephants for virtual ivory.
That won't fly with my character. His people are hunters of animals.  8)
That, and a lion's proooobably going to kill me if it gets a chance, sooo... Self-preservation is more important than perceived cruelty towards animals. Eating is more important than perceived cruelty towards animals. Mmm, fleeeeesh!

Lol that's fine then. I have no problems with recruiting men for the 2 of you to form your tanking parties, you could use them to create ranged units as well to give you guys fire support my people won't be the dedicated support type.

They're more the dodging in and out of combat quickly type just getting in for a few quick hits then dodging out to come in against at a different angle. Fae blades can be used to parry or deflect and could block a melee attack but they're designed for agility rather then defense.

What do the 2 of you want to call the guild? I had 1 name in mind but I don't think it'd suit you 2 so I can use it for my sub guild and pick a name you guys like for the guild as a whole. I have a motto in mind for my portion as well.

Well looks like I'm working with Unholy and Elves. The rest of you seem to be going for criminal characters which rules out working with you apart from isolated occasions when circumstances dictate. And I plan to do the quests to advance things as well so 2 groups will be more efficient.
I don't mind killing it for food just make it a quick death.

... They're virtual characters in a forum based game, the fake animals won't have their feelings hurt by dying. They'll probably just respawn eventually anyways.

Tch, I'm all for making money through that, since it's, you know, a game within a game.

Also tempted to kill an animal in the most cruel way possible around Pewd's character just for fun.

Not arguing with you, but the design of faeblades make them... Really impractical.

That there shits me off in real life, why would you kill an elephant just for its tusks?
Seriously, just feed it some tranqs or get it too high to care and cut the damn things off.

1 tuskless/hornless living animal reducing the risk of destroying an endangered species.

That said, this is a game so i aint gonna complain, but goddamn poachers man.

Your welcome to kill it, I'll escort you into the next life in a swift and humane manner for it, but your welcome to do it.

They're designed for use in an agile and graceful manner, constantly spinning and turning coming at them from different angles bringing the blades in from constantly shifting attack patterns. They offer bugger all in the way of defense but they're fantastic offensive weapons if you have the agility and speed to use them.

Things.
Yeah, it was presented as a joke.
Then again, as you said, this IS a game, and they're not real, we're working to basically shut down the game, and they probably respawn.

Not advocating doing it for real, yes, I'm aware and agree that it's wrong.

Dear fuck, it's a virtual animal. Weren't you the one against murdering actual people?

Still if you let your personality get warped in a game you'll be just as warped when the games over. So just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

Guess I'm fucked, considering what I do in video games.
I should just go kill myself now, guys. The world would be a better place because I'm a horrible person for committing virtual crimes and cruelty.

In this game smart ass. If you spend years without any breaks behaving that way it would alter your personality.

A few hours a day on a video game is a little different from a life or death game that could last years.

I once kidnapped a guy and ran away with him as his guild chased me, he killed himself rather than staying with me.

I was devastated.

Mate, the worries of virtual, respawning animals in a game of life and death mean little to me if it helps save hundreds of thousands of actual people from dying. When you can actually keep the fact that you're stuck in a game in mind, I don't see anyone but the weak actually changing enough for it to affect real life.

Still if you let your personality get warped in a game you'll be just as warped when the games over. So just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.
