" You can let my horse carry some of that, i have been riding in this part for a while,i don't think my horse will have too much trouble carrying those, at least until we get to the carriage "

He put two bags on the horse and continue to hold the leads.

Having thrown her hands up at the weapon shop, Elliotte returned to the inn and grabbed a bag. Why, everyone else was doing it.

Hector took two bags and left after his employer.

Harold grabbed another bag and answered Harlan.

:He's even shadier than you. You sure you can carry that?

The thief snorted in something like amusement.
: "Just don't ask me to run with it..."

Atrisse struggled with her bag, sagging under it's weight over her shoulder as she staggered towards the carriage.

[Sirus]

Harlan glanced at the self-accused witch.
: "...Need a hand with that?"

"I-I think I can get it t-to the cart, at l-least..."

[Sirus]

A shrug.
: "Suit yourself." He hefted his own bag to a more comfortable position and walked outside...though he did leave the door propped open so the girl wouldn't have to deal with the door handle and the bag simultaneously.

Clive led the mercenaries to an old man watching over a rickety carriage and the two healthy horses watching over it. Small talk was made as they loaded themselves on and set off north.
The travel was calm, the old man seemed to know his way around the deserts a fair way and managing to avoid many little holes and ditches in the almost non-existent road. As they reached more and more dry and sandy terrain, the driver slowed down with more caution, until they could go no further. The mercenaries disembarked and continued on north, through shifty and difficult sands.
The trip was interrupted, briefly, as Clive spotted the lights of a small caravan heading south. "Mages", he stated as he strode off to meet them, sternly insistent that he speak to them alone. When he returned, he only mentioned that the sun would be rising soon, and he may know where shelter is.

The moon rode high in the sky, but at the horizon, a dim light could be seen creeping upwards. The sand had given way a little to more rocky terrain, thankfully, and Clive pointed outwards to a particularly large cliff face.
: "Over there. There should be a cave large enough to use for the day." Clive mused as he pulled down his hood.

Votel pat his horse and look toward the cave
" Well i think we all walked for a long way today, we should take a rest. "

: "Sounds good," Harlan wheezed. "The question is, how many other people might come along and want to use it themselves?"

"Based on the way those guys back at the inn were talking? I kinda doubt we'll see visitors. It wouldn't hurt to set up a watch though. Three shifts sound good to everyone? We'll need two others, of course."

Clive nodded.
: "Agreed. I'll take first-" He stopped mid sentence, whipping his head around. With another moment, the slight breeze about had died down, and other voices could be heard in the distance. Behind them and past a bulging dune where Clive was looking, there were a fair number of figures a small distance away. As sunlight began to flood the sands, small glints of metal shone off of the figures as they moved closer.
: "..." Clive said nothing more, but slowly pulled out and began to string an iron bow.
