The first point of 'rare tech' bring it from 0% to 30% boost.  At level 10, it gets to a 50% boost.  That's 9 skill points for a 20% boost, but remember that I'm dealing with potential damage counters in the hundreds of thousands.  For my 'Na Megid Artillery' purposes, that's going to count for a lot.

There is literally no point in getting Gears for me, since gunslashes don't have one and I'm not fond of any of the other hunter weapons. Giving up on a bit of damage potential seems a small price to pay in exchange for being able to back away from a difficult situation and attack at range if needed. Or to shoot those damn birds.

If PSOworld is to be believed that's actually a flat boost to the relevant attack stat. And while another 30 atk isn't anything to scoff at, 9 points for that is kinda eh.

Aha! Lack of gears is fine then.

Some notes!

1: Re: Braver mags - If you get braver mag (the skill) maxed, the more dex the better. Max dex. A pure S-atk/R-atk mag is still perfectly respectable, and if you don't have the skill braver mag, it's still optimal.

2: Re: Gunslash users - a lot of gunslashes need dex to equip. A lot of dex. Classes don't get a lot of dex by default. To use the only 12 star gunslash you need somewhere in the neighborhood of 650. I'm not saying it's the best one, but that's what to shoot for, for absolute highest dex req. Keep this in mind. Consider putting some dex in your mag too. Maybe pure dex? That might be a bit risky. Most people reccomend 50 max for non braver mag bravers.

3: Tree; I'm gonna raise the rare drop rate buff until people complain that they can't get it, then start working on photon occurance and such.

Carry on ya'll.

So uhh, been following Arks Layer guide to registration,  and it says here that there's bonuses if you indicate who invited you and stuff.

Does anyone want to give me their number so I can input it later?

My ID is 12734418 in ship 2. And give me my precious bonus.

Further research claims that you get a new friend code after it was used. Gonna test this tomorrow.

Nevermind. I just need sleep. My ID is 12734418 in ship 2.

Note that the game is on maint right now, however.

Yeah, either way, I'm using the remaining time to patch up my game. Also, how do I download the Item Translation patch? Can't seem to find it in the launcher.

If you're using the tweaker, click the circle in the upper left. Also, the maintenance might mess up the english patch so you might need to patch it again.

If you register as a referral, both of you (I think) get blue badges.  They're mainly used for vanity items, like quirky weapons (one's a suitcase, one's a catcher's mitt) and appearance (like different glasses you can wear).

The BLUE badge options.  Note you can also get exp or item drop boosts.

To clarify on english patches.

Patch the game first, then english patch. From then on, every time the patcher downloads anything at all, you need to repatch.

So as long as New Guy doesn't finish patching before the maint is over, it should be fine. Nontheless, yeah, if the english patch is acting up, try repatching.

I know now's not the appropriate time for this, maintenance and such, but how do I get past the GameGuard Internet Explorer Issue?

PSO 2 does not launch

Running PSO2 with the Tweaker, all patches applied and all updates (before maintenance) downloaded (I intend to reupdate), I press Launch PSO2.

It runs Internet Explorer, with--

Disregard for a moment.

I had some issues with launching as well, what fixed it for me is running the regular launcher and having it verify all the files are up to date. Not sure if you're having the same problem though.
Give it a go if you're still having trouble, sounds like what I had.

Also my code is 12736374, if anyone is feeling generous.  :P
