Have to wait 24 hours to delete a character? Bummer, I was hoping to just try some stuff out before I decide on a class.

you can switch class freely but you need to get the weapons and tech for them.

Well damn, I was doing awesome with my group in the Dark Falz Loser fight, we were nearly done and then the game crashed. I logged back in and was unable to get into any party in time to get the reward. FML :(

Edit: Decided to try crafting. Extended my very ordinary twin-machineguns which had ~200 R-attack, kicked them all the way up to ~500. Since there's no kill like overkill I went and managed to +10 it with only two failures now it is sitting at 757 R-attack... and im only lv21 @_@

It's easy to miss. You can also move these souls from weapon to weapon via the crafting system, so if you're not like me and don't stick every rare into your storage box immediately for safekeeping you might stockpile a few that seem relevant for your character for later. Player shops sell these weapons for that explicit purpose, no reason not to save some cash if you've got the space for it.
Not so, actually.  Souls are non-transferable.  What souls do, however, is allow you to sacrifice the soul to get an improved transfer rate.  When you start getting towards, like, 6 abilities, many of which are III's or otherwise great, burning a boss soul to ensure the transfer works can be greatly beneficial.

I stand corrected!

Note, it's raining today so I may not be able to get on long enough to accept any invites. Midwestern suburb internet everybody!

So yeah if you're not accepted today gimme another day.

Like Aco said you can switch classes freely. Do it as much as you want, there is no downside besides suddenly being a lower level. You can buy new weapons from the weapon shop in town, and new techs from the same place. You can get a starter set of a class's weapons by doing that respective class trainer's quests, they're all hanging fairly close to the area the class counter is in. Lisa is one, Ohrz or something is one.... I forget the other two. But if you find lisa you're in the right place.

We have a team room! Complete with viewing window into space, team bulletin board, team counter, team storage that can't be used because you need real money to transfer anything between people (IE premium) and bar.

There's nobody manning the bar currently, one can only hope a future upgrade will make that more then set dressing. You can get to it via the block changer. It looks pretty nice!

While I'm here -

Jelle, would you like an invite to the team? If not it's fine, I'm just not sure if you want in or not.

GOOD NEWS, I should be able to get in game either tonight, or tomorrow, depending on how long I feel like staying up. About 3 more hours on the Set up DL, and then the English patches.

EDIT: The English patches are 3 gigs! I guess I get to wait another night before getting to play.

You can apparently charge force skills for more damage per TP...

I feel like an idiot for not noticing that.

Welp, I heard Monster Hunter, so nineteen GB later, here I am. I'm stumbling through everything as best as I can (minus the story patch for now), couldn't find Fjallheim through the player search thing, and am generally wobbling about ineffectually.

I'm Naxza in game as well. Please say hi.

I'll getcha invited! Bariaus in game.

And on a similar note, Baneling, I've sent an invite. I think you're offline, so it'll just show up when you next log in. Let me know if it does/doesn't. You should see a thingy around the top of the screen blinking if it was successful, click it and accept the invite. If not I'll just keep trying to catch you while you're online.

I have explored another Emergency quest, and I'd like to say that the "in the driving rain 2" quest (the message mentions large scale operations) you basically just trash the shit out of a ton of dudes and it's frentic and awesome. No particularly notable rewards, but some unique bosses show up during the length of the mission, so it's a good way to get a bit of item drop variety.

Finally downloaded the game
Now I just need to do the English patches, which seem to having trouble, ;.;
EDIT: GAH, Every time I try to install the story patch, the tweaker crashes. Has anyone else had this problem?
EDIT EDIT: Note, also, that the other two English patches installed fine, and this one just refuses to.
