I am just looking for clarification. What constitutes a "foot" is very much subjective.  See for instance, the difference between a human foot, and a horse foot.  Anatomically speaking, a horse foot is just a single toe compared to a human foot-- which contrasted with the horse the other way, would be the foot, and lower leg to first bend.

With really strange outsider morphologies, it is entirely possible for the shin to be part of the foot.

Since this extradimensional horror simply wants to eat dead skin, it should not be that picky about how much of an extremity is inserted, as long as it is covered in dead skin. Legs qualify in that respect.

Boat-I of Rome-Ants:
A toy boat that is theorised to be sentient but inanimate. When placed upon natural ground it will radiate an aura that affects all mundane ants who willingly fail to resist it. They will arrange themselves around the artefact, receive magically-conjured costumes and equipment with weapons enchanted to do no harm and be subjected to a powerful preservative effect, curing most ailments, preventing deprivation, and very greatly slowing aging. These ants then recreate battles of Ancient Rome over magically conjured terrain, presumably for the entertainment of the artefact, until the item is removed from its surface, returning its victims to their prior locations and activities.

I'm just imaging someone putting their foot into a smaller shoe, and the sock crushing their foot as it contracts to fit perfectly

This magical salt causes intense arguments to break out among those that eat food seasoned with it.

It's totally a real word. It means "turning out", and it's most used in medicine and biology.

Actually... it has a meaning. It's just that, oddly, the game is more well-known than the actual word.
