You're confusing me with someone else. I can vote.
Wait so you were just voting No Lynch instead of claiming?  Why?

Because it's the first day. There's much bigger hands to play, especially as there's still people yet to post, vote or claim.
My plan was to wait until a verified lynch was found, and then throw votes on it to help against votestealers.

Jack A T: Because I can only vote one person, and I didn't want to clutterFoS?
If I was going to lynch anyone first-day (barring any massive scumslips) it'd be an inactive. There's always the chance.

I'd like to add here that 4maskwolf didn't mention Objective, either. So rather than specifically targeting one person, it could be said that he specifically didn't target one.

Tack: Ah.  To clarify: The first real-time day.  As in, first 24 hours.  Not the first in-game day.  Let people have their classes and jobs and sleep before accusing them of lurking.
What I find interesting here, however, is the attempt to push me towards 4maskwolf.  Why are you so nervous under, well, not even really fire?  Why push me away from you and towards him so blatantly?

NativeForeigner: Lurking is wrong.

So is accusing someone of lurking when they work 8-7.

I'll be back later tonight with an actual post.

Jim Groovester, why must you prevent us from being hired?  That's quite unkind.

It's not me. It's because YOU STANK

Jim Groovester, what do you think about the miller question?

I agree with Leafsnail's analysis in its entirety.

Unvote Jim Groovester (2), vote Tack

What purpose was double voting me before I responded supposed to serve?

Jim: Am I totally rolefishing? :D

Yeah probably.

Anyways: Given the nature of this game: what power would you prefer the most as scum--and why? When do you see the use of aggression be an advantage to you and your team (wherein team = town/scum)?

Conversions. Prolific conversion. Every flaw is worth taking to get prolific conversion.

I'd ask what you mean by aggression, but I'll just make a blanket statement that being aggressive is always a good thing, regardless of your alignment.

Jim Groovester: Lots of fresh faces here.  Of the players I do not recognize (mastahcheese, 4maskwolf, Tack, Objective, P-Luke, MyOwnWorstEnemy, Tawarochir, and TheDarkStar), which two would you most want as your fellow scum if you were scum? Why?

I'm actually not that familiar with any of the players you listed.

mastahcheese and 4maskwolf are at least somewhat competent since I've directly seen their performance in a BM. I'd choose them for lack of a more informed option.

Jim probably taught many of them.

I haven't been an IC in ages.

But this is way too heavy for the first day.

Why are you shying away from relevant game discussion?

NativeForeigner: Lurking is wrong.

Giving people shit for lurking on the first day of Day 1 is also wrong.

My plan was to wait until a verified lynch was found, and then throw votes on it to help against votestealers.

So you'd do that instead of, oh, I dunno, vote who you suspect?

Jim Groovester: Is there any particular town build, that you think other town should be wary of, and why?

Not really. Looking at the role list it's hard to say that any particular combination will screw the town up in a negative way. Maybe I'm not just thinking hard enough.

So, Deathsword, what's your opinion on the high price of kill? Do you think the scum will pick it?

Did you?

So, why the heck did *everyone* pick Miller?

Free point.

Not voting? How come? Not voting on day one is considered scummy, as it strongly resembles active lurking, Tack.

Gosh you are so new. You're spouting off advice you read an IC give you once, but it's not in the correct context at all.

Leafsnail:
PFP.

There is basically no reason for townies not to pick miller.  Alignment Cop is pretty much worthless anyway and that extra point could confirm you as not scum (as well as increasing you power).
The reason for them not to choose miller is to not confuse the hell out of each other and thus allowing the Alignment Cop to actually be somewhat useful. Did you choose miller?

Even if most everybody does this, the few who don't will still make Alignment Cop worthless. Why, then, is it important for everybody to not get the extra point so that the alignment cop is useful?

Everyone who chose Miller: What made you decide to take that as your flaw? What did you hope to accomplish?

Free point.

I chose the can't-vote flaw, but not the miller flaw. So you should be able to check that I am not a maffia, if you don't get redirected.

Because no scum player would ever choose the innocent auto power.

argument for ???????

This doesn't make any sense.

You also seem to be an authority on good choices for mafia powers.

Jack

This also doesn't make any sense.

You're clearly new but you're also probably scum, what with your unsophisticated and predictable attempts to avoid suspicion.

P-Luke.

Prolific Conversion wouldn't actually work, the mafia as a whole can only make 1 kill/conversion per phase.  There's nothing to stop them from converting someone every day and every night though.

Because it's the first day. There's much bigger hands to play, especially as there's still people yet to post, vote or claim.
My plan was to wait until a verified lynch was found, and then throw votes on it to help against votestealers.
Why does no element of this plan involve looking for mafia members?  This seems very much like a scum strategy to me.

None, actually, because anyone who actually read the vote count can see that I can't actually vote.  As a point of fact, I took miller, blatant, and unable to vote.

However, this does make me somewhat suspicious.  Why would you not pay attention to such an important detail?

Simply by nature of this game, the first night is going to be complete and utter chaos.
So I can only assume that the second day will be when 'all of the cards are laid down'.
I haven't yet seen a Mafia member get lynched first day through anything but sheer luck.
So I'd rather take the 1/13 chance of killing scum, than have three mafia members with votesteals making us all kill eachother.

That sounds like a great excuse to bandwagon.
I'm assuming you have the Bloodthirsty perk, as well, to back that up?
How on earth did you guess?

Lists are Fun.

Current Non-Voters:
- mastahcheese (Claimed)

Mastahcheese: Claiming miller and having No-vote is a logical scum-move.

Unvote, vote Tack.  Why are you avoiding my questions and comments?  Any comments on Native's reasons for not being here when not actually able to be here?

Tack, again: Why are you not responding to Jim's questions?

PPE: Why were you not even being consistent about your Glorious Plan of Waiting for a "Verified" Lynch, by voting Native in the first place?  Can you explain why no-vote miller claims are a logical scum move?  Why target only mastahcheese when 4maskwolf also meets your criteria?

Because 4maskwolf has been FoS'd already. Mastahcheese however, doesn't yet have any heat upon him.
You don't consider it suspicious that there's exactly three people who have no-vote?
Plus, didn't you already rebuke me for pointing fingers at 4maskwolf?

As for 'Jim's questions'
I see two reubukes and one question I've answered numerous times already.

However, as I'm obviously terrible at this game, I guess I'll just throw down my cards early. Easier than wasting a lynch.
I took Infallable alignment cop and Blatant.
Which means I'll most likely now waste a kill. Either that or It'll show up on day 2 that I've used my power on a possible scum. Thereby absolving me.

EBWOP:
In order to head your inevitable reply, Jack A T, I realize how flimsy it looks on the surface.

But even if I was mafia and therefore had the incredible foresight in order to get scan and blatant, know I'd be votepressured into calling cop, wait for the first night, do the scan, have it show, fake a call, sell my scan, buy off my blatant and buy kill - I'd still die by the second day/night anyway.

But you're doing great work on the pushpushpushing.
It made me realize that blatant and scan are actually able to be used to fake a protect or cop.

Yeah, probably, but having Miller and No-vote is something scum can't do.
I did it for the points.
And claiming Not-Miller, while retaining your vote, would certainly make you look town, particularly after claiming yourself to be a blatant cop.

Since this is day one, I don't really have any particular suspicions yet. I didn't really see the point in miller since I didn't want any particular power, mostly because I have another town will have already have them, for which I was right.
