Jim Groovester, why must you prevent us from being hired?  That's quite unkind.

Day One — Everyone Has Secrets

The door clicks and you find yourself trapped in the room with 13 other adventurers. Never have you seen more insalubrious types. A gallery of mavericks, madmen and monsters, but who are the Djinn? Someone (perhaps yourself) says, "Friends, let's simply vote on who to kill. Bound to find the Djinn in no time."

There's some low mumbling from some of the gang who wish to take part in no such thing, but most seem to go along with the plan.

Unless anyone shortens, the day will end in just about 3 days time, on Thursday 4PM (GMT).

Yeah I'm posting this again because argh the last post-page. :I

...So many millers.

Leafsnail: What is your opinion on explaining details to others? Also, what is your opinion regarding the game-style: What is your favorite auto as town, or as scum?

Tack: New player? :O Hello!
Given that you're in a very experimental-type game, what do you expect both from the game, and the players? Do you hold any bias towards any single one of us?

mastahcheese: How will you judge people for your vote? As in, what do you value: Their abilities, their way of logic, or their scumhunting skills?

MOWE:
Hi! :D
Given the nature of this game, what is your opinion on the flaw-system, and the differing powers available? Given the player list set before you--what do you generally expect from them?

Jim: Am I totally rolefishing? :D Anyways: Given the nature of this game: what power would you prefer the most as scum--and why? When do you see the use of aggression be an advantage to you and your team (wherein team = town/scum)?

So, Deathsword, what's your opinion on the high price of kill? Do you think the scum will pick it?

Tiruin, how do you like the flavour text for the game?

Mastahcheese, what are your thoughts on mid tier powers like Santa or Protect?

I am a miller.

Jim Groovester: Lots of fresh faces here.  Of the players I do not recognize (mastahcheese, 4maskwolf, Tack, Objective, P-Luke, MyOwnWorstEnemy, Tawarochir, and TheDarkStar), which two would you most want as your fellow scum if you were scum? Why?

4maskwolf: Which would you fear more: scum with a daykill, or scum with a dayconvert?  Why?

Objective: Do you believe the bloodthirsty and thrill-seeker powers are likely to have an impact on their users' playstyles?  If so, what sort of impact?

TheDarkStar: Hypothetical: You are scum.  There are three other players left, all townies.  It is night.  You do not have convert.  Who do you kill: the townie who has a mild scum read on you, the lurking townie, the townie who has a mild town read on you, or nobody?  Why?

Hello
I expect that the amount of millers will cause some serious WIFOM.
That being said, this should be an incredibly interesting game. Especially once the townies (And scum) start flashing their powers.

Hi Jack.  I've never played with you before, this should be interesting.
I would fear a daykill more, because it can't be protected against, but I would fear the night convert more, because converts are really powerful.

Also, like Jack, I chose Miller.

Quick rules clarification: a day-kill can be protected against, but only if someone cast day-protect on the target before the kill (or day-redirect/block/etc. on the perpetrator).

Yeah? How?
Hypothetical: "Am I scum, or did I choose miller?"
Will we waste days and nights inspecting/lynching every miller call? Are people expecting us to?
Therefore is calling miller supposed to protect someone, or bring more doubt upon them?

But this is way too heavy for the first day.

A quick couple questions, Tack: Have you ever played, or read, other games on this board with millers?  What parts of your current thoughts about millers in this game are your standard thoughts on millers in any game, and what are specific to this likely miller-heavy setup?

EBWOP: Also, I'm getting the feeling that you're rather inexperienced.  How much Mafia experience do you have in general?

I chose the can't-vote flaw, but not the miller flaw. So you should be able to check that I am not a maffia, if you don't get redirected.
Looking back, I probably should have taken the miller too, if everyone else took it anyway.

Jack: what drives you to be interested in particularly the people you have questioned?

PFP.

There is basically no reason for townies not to pick miller.  Alignment Cop is pretty much worthless anyway and that extra point could confirm you as not scum (as well as increasing you power).

Jack: what drives you to be interested in particularly the people you have questioned?
P-Luke: My initial questions were primarily to learn a bit about some of the people who I don't recognize.  Jim probably taught many of them.  The other three are a random set of the unrecognized (I've don't really like starting by throwing a question at every other player.  Feels unfocused).
The questions to Tack: I want to quickly determine his experience and his understanding of millers, along with what ideas are general and what are specific to this game.  He seems inexperienced, and his statements on millers are odd.  I want to know exactly what his background is before the inevitable miller talk.
