Academic difference. The tank's turret can't rotate fast enough to hit the mech, yet the mech can stop and stabilize and aim and shoot back and carry enough firepower to one-shot it?

Thing is, those tanks behave like realistic real-life tanks of today. The mech/power armor behaves like it is decades ahead technology-wise.

But you are right, this thing is supposed to accelerate to near-lightspeed. It should have a giant pair of engines. We don't want it to have any performance issues. We'll need those supplies if we want to penetrate deep into enemy space and erect Steve's new world order. And we wouldn't want to get in the way of Steve's erection, now would we?
