Why amps are vastly more OP than conventional weapons.

Because they're more likely to kill you and/or your teammates.  I also theorize there exists a counter for them we don't know of yet.

I'm still sad we can't find any inherent defense against amps. >_>
Or any conventional weaponry that works against it while in comparison, amps can easily SMOOSH conventional weaponry.
It's like a roguelike-hard at the start, easy at the last.

Always with the size = power ratio. That's one note I hate in modern technology whereas amps can be as minute as ever and still be powerful.

But Feyri is super strong. She is actually as strong as Miyamoto or Jim stats-wise. What is that strength for if not to wield a giant Freudian death machine?

Heh.  It's sort of funny that Feyri could, from a pure stats perspective, go toe-to-toe with an Avatar of War.  In-game logic would prevail and Miya'd just sweep her to the side, but still.

A small 1/3 or something is fine with me.  If you need it to be against something specific, then "targets that are partially hidden" would work.  Especially when you consider that most "cover" really only counts as "concealment" against gauss rifles; remember, 20mm is considered an anti-tank round IRL, and that's with inefficient gas expansion propulsion.

Really, as long as the bonus is concrete and decided I'm happy.  Even if the decision is "No bonus, because AUX is cheap.  It's just flavor.".

Yeah, ER is just like dwarf fortress where attributes are concerned, theres statistical strength and then theres actual strength.

Feyri and miyamoto may both have the same superhumanly strong rating for their "race", but miyamoto is still a bronze collossus to feyri's minotaur.

@syvarris: actually your hud will have highly useful contextual advantages for space mages. It makes it so they can accurately attack enemies that you can see but are concealed from their view or would otherwise be unaware of.
