Second, somebody requested an MCP suit in the on-ship thread.  I'm pretty sure MCP suits are supposed to be the only suits we're provided with, now.  Nobody should have MK.Is anymore, because they are completely inferior.  At least, that was what was intended before they were prototyped.

Could someone check this with pw please? Maybe in irc tonight?
Added peeps on wiki that want prototypes. Less people than I expected. Might just divide remaining among ground team, or not, I'll see. If I forgot people, or if anyone else wants to use one, be sure to mention it (and edit wiki if you can).

Just hoping to get back to normal and then not use the goopy-powers unless it's very necessary. Not quite what I thought the suit would do, to be honest!

If I understand it correctly, they'll be using what's left of your brain for some sort of experiment. And before you ask "why my brain?", do you know any handy brains with 40 willpower and almost +3 exo lying around around...

Unfortunately no - Xan's about as minmaxed towards those things as you get, barring his Med upgrades, and the best he could get is a +3 to both Will and Exo. And that's with 3 missions under his belt.

Still questionable.  Didn't his head explode?  So where's the brain coming from?  I mean, really, the only way you get dead ER characters is when there's no brain.  I can't remember anyone dying from anything else.

..and the whole, aww, I can't get better than a +3 to skills with having three whole missions under my belt..

So.. he's not dead, then?  Kinda disappointing, especially if you can suffer severe brain damage, and then be perfectly okay.  How do you die, then?

+3's more than good enough.  Hell, I don't know what's wrong with +2, (or +1), seems perfectly acceptable to me.  But I already said that bit.

3 missions actually, assuming maximum minmax and that you have enough end to get an enhanced capacity genemod.
But there's the downside that you get less mind points that way, which is necessary for lots of things, meaning there's a high chance of your brain exploding. And you need to be lucky or perform good and find some tokens if you don't want to be an extra squishy glass cannon. And you need to hope you'll never have to roll something you have a -1 or -2 in.
Oh, and the points I gave where in there old system. He'd be even better in the new system.

Edit: There was space magic involved in his death. They're using some sort of stabilising agent to revive him called Pascal quicksilver, same thing they use for the AM. Maybe the seals in his amp failed and space magic leaked into his brain?

The 'purely from skill' thing meant no enhanced capacity thing. I don't trust it so much now that I know that if your body's destroyed so is the mod though.

Still seems like a cop out.  Sure, you're dead, like you wanted, but we're going to parade around your corpse forever.

And no, you'll never need to roll anything you have minuses in.  Just give no action for that turn and you'll end up just fine.

Unless you have a minus in Dex and you have to run away from an explosion.

Not that easy. You'd need to not post for several turns in advance and continue not posting several turns after. And with the wiki and all those people helping piecewise and pointing things out to him it is now even harder. Only stat you can have to -1 and be 90% safe is charisma.
